As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

LC Nuvem Verna Installation Ceremony.
Attended Installation Ceremony of LC Nuvem Verna on 3rd August 2025 at 7:30 pm along with the members of LC Avedem Paroda.

First Responder Training Program.
Lions club of Avedem Paroda organized First Responder Training to Students in association with EMRI Green Health Services and Directorate of Health Services ,Govt. of Goa on 2/8/2025 from 9 am to 5 pm. for the students of Damodar Higher Secondary School at Gudi Paroda Goa. The course was organized to create awareness about importance of first aid and CPR skills which is vital during emergency. Emergencies like chest pain, asthma, stroke, snake bite, seizure and road traffic accidents were discussed. The training was split into two theory and practical. Students were split into four groups and each student was given a chance to do the practical. I attended the program as Region Chairman.

peival Special meeting -6 AUg25 The topics to be discussed in the meeting are as follows. 1) Regarding the program for Tree Plantation. 2) Regarding the establishment of clean drinking water units in government schools. 3) Providing sanitary napkins to girls school. 4) Regarding the celebration of Parents' Day. 5) Regarding the provision of immediate assistance in case of natural calamities. 6) Regarding the organization of pick and speak competition in schools. 7) Conducting a program on Vedic Mathematics workshop. 8) Conducting a program on international youth Day on 12.08.2025. 9) Regarding celebration of independence Day on 15.08.2025.

First Responder Training Program.
FIRST RESPONDER TRAINING. Lions club of Avedem Paroda organized First Responder Training to Students in association with EMRI Green Health Services and Directorate of Health Services ,Govt. of Goa on 2/8/2025 from 9 am to 5 pm. for the students of Damodar Higher Secondary School at Gudi Paroda Goa. The course was organized to create awareness about importance of first aid and CPR skills which is vital during emergency. Emergencies like chest pain, asthma, stroke, snake bite, seizure and road traffic accidents were discussed. The training was split into two theory and practical. Students were split into four groups and each student was given a chance to do the practical. Team of experts lead by Dr. Sateesh kumar kama, Program Manager 108 ambulance services & Training Head. He holds advance post graduate diploma in emergency care and MBA in marketing and has 15 years work experience in emergency care. Other members of team included Mr. Vinod Jadhav, Clinical Instructor with 14 years of work experience. Ms. Pooja Mohite and Ms. Chaitali Gauns, clinical instructor having advance post graduate diploma in emergency care with 5 years experience. Mr. Khema Gaonkar as support staff, conducted the program. Dr. Francis Almeida, Renowned Consultant radiologist from Margao was the chief guest for the inaugural function. Chief guest emphasized that every individual above 17 years should undergo this āfirst responder training. President of LC Avedem Paroda Lion Shakuntala Raut Dessai welcomed the gathering, Region Chairman of Lions region 2 in his inaugural address explained the importance of first aid in daily life and details about the program. Lion Sanjay Gauns Dessai compared the function. In the valedictory function Lion Dr. Mahesh Verlekar, nodal officer of Ayush hospital was the chief guest. Certificates to students were distributed at the hands of Dr. Verlekar. Secretary lion Anil Sawant Dessai, proposed vote of thanks. Treasurer Lion Shreenath Kamat, Lion Balkrishna Prabhu Dessai, Lion Dipak Kharagate, Headmistress of Damodar High School Mrs. Bindiya Valvatkar, Principal of Damodar Higher Secondary School Mrs. Veena Dessai, Viee principal Mrs. Jovita Dācosta and red cross incharge teacher Mrs. Supriya Dessai were present for the function. The management of Damodar higher secondary school appreciated the lions club for conducting the program for their school and requested to conduct similar programs which will benefit the students. total 120 students and 25 community members benefitted from the program.
