As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Mega Health Check-up camp
Lions club Kumta arranged a mega health check-up camp in association with AJ Hospital Mangalore on 8th March 2026. Attended this camp and this service activity benefited many rural people

FREE EYE CHECKUP & OPERATION CAMP
A free eye check-up camp was conducted at Hukkerimath, Haveri, where a total of 219 patients were examined. Out of these, 79 patients were selected for surgery. On the 29th, 43 patients and on the 30th, 36 patients were sent to Shankar Eye Hospital for treatment and operations. All patients returned on the 31st.

Wheelchair Distribution Initiative for Physically Challenged Children
A Wheelchair Distribution Initiative for Physically Challenged Children was organized at the Lions English Medium School as part of a meaningful social service effort. The program was led by District Governor PMJF Lion Jaiamoal Naik, along with District Cabinet Secretary PMJF Lion Dr. Kirthi J. Naik. During the event, wheelchairs were distributed to physically challenged children, helping improve their mobility and independence. In addition, school uniforms were also distributed to support the studentsâ educational needs. The initiative reflected a strong commitment to service and compassion, bringing joy and encouragement to the children while promoting inclusivity and care within the community.

International Women's Day in KSRTC Haveri
On the occasion of International Womenâs Day, the Lions Club of Haveri organized a special celebration at KSRTC Depo. Haveri to recognize and appreciate the dedication of its workforce. During the event, two skilled mechanics were honored for their outstanding performance and commitment to their work. In addition, two women conductors were felicitated for their dedication, hard work, and contribution to public service. The function highlighted the importance of recognizing everyday heroes who play a vital role in society. It was a meaningful celebration that acknowledged both technical excellence and womenâs empowerment, making the occasion truly memorable for all attendees.

Free Blood Check Up Camp (RBS & BP)
A Free Blood Check-Up Camp for RBS and Blood Pressure was successfully conducted at Hukkerimath, Haveri. The camp benefited by total 189 Patients. Many individuals utilized the opportunity to undergo essential health screenings for early detection and monitoring of diabetes and blood pressure. The initiative helped create health awareness and encouraged people to take proactive steps toward better health.
