As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

international day against drug abuse was conducted at calangute association hall calangute the dignitaries present were local mla michael lobo sp anti narcotics cell district governor pmjf jai amol naik almost 600 students from local schools took part in the same the activity was widely covered by all media channels of goa and local news papers

Special GB meeting of the club was held on 10/7/2025 do discuss and chalk out the proposed projects for L.Y.25-26. Proposed fund raising projects are discussed. Also projects for the month of July & August 25, are discussed and assigned to various members

Tree Plantation Drive
Tree Plantation drive. LC Avedem Paroda started tree plantation drive on 6th July 2025 at 9 am in the Shree Sateri Devasthan complex at paroda Goa, under the theme ‘ Ek Ped Maa Ke Nam”. Chief guest for the function was Mr. Cleofaso Dias, ex MLA from Cuncolim Constituency. Different types of plants were planted at the hands of Chief Guest and Lion members present. Around 250 plants were distributed to the people present.

Felicitations for Academic and sports excellence.
Felicitation Ceremony. LC Avedem felicitated five top ranking students at the S.S.C. board examinations from surrounding schools. Mast. Velan Fernandes from Chandranath Education Society’s School, Assolda Goa. Mast. Kiran Ghadi, from Govt. High School, Xeldem Goa. Mast.Rupesh Yadav from Damodar High School, Gudi Paroda Goa. Mast. Austin Carvalho from Marry Immaculate High School, Avedem Goa. And adv. Manjunath Gaonkar for successfully completing LLB examination. All were presented with a memento and a certificate. Mr. Venkatesh Ganesh Prabhu Dessai, was felicitated for being a Ultra Marathon Runner. He was presented with a shawl and a memento.

45th Club BOD Installation.
45th BOD Installation Ceremony. The 45th BOD installation ceremony of LC Avedem Paroda was held on 5th July 2025 at 8 pm in Panchayat community hall at Avedem Goa. BOD lead by first lady president Lion Shakuntala Raut Dessai was installed by PDG MJF Lion Vasudev Valawlikar. Hon. MLA of Curchorem constituency, was the chief guest. Out going president Lion Ujwal Gauns Dessai, felicitated the senior members of the club. Installation Ceremony was attended by lions from different clubs of Goa.
