Special Initiative: Weeks of service
As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Attended the Hunger Relieving Week Activity of Lions Club of Belgaum
On 5th January LCB arranged a Hunger Relieving Programme for the underprivileged and handicapped children above 18years of age. DC attended the programme where 25 children were provided delicious food on the occasion of birthday of Lion Dinesh Bhirade.

Attended the Zone Advisory meeting of Zone 1 Region VI . Advised the clubs to inform their unique activities for the Success Story on Lions Portal.

Donation of Shoes & Socks to Needy Students
We donated shoes and socks to 30 needy students of Government Primary School, Vaddemnagar, Vasco-Goa. The event was attended by our Past District Governor PMJF Sasindran Nair, Lion Manju & Club President Lion Mariano besides the Headmistress Lion Minika Naik and other staff memebrs of the school. Sweets were also distributed to the students. In his address, the President gave a message to the students to study well and uplift themselves and when they are well to do one day, they should also help those in need.
