Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

SSLC Exam Preparation for Students

GS Hattimathur Sir, a teacher from Kittur High School, conducted a special guidance program for SSLC students at Shree Kalidasa High School, Haveri, focusing on the Mathematics subject. He explained the SSLC examination blueprint in detail and guided students on effective exam strategies and time management. The session emphasized easy and practical methods to understand mathematical concepts and solve problems confidently. The program created awareness among students and motivated them to prepare systematically for the SSLC examination.

Cancer Awareness Program

A Cancer Awareness Program was conducted by Hubli Super Speciality Hospital, featuring Dr. Jagadish Tubachi, an experienced oncologist from Hubli. The program was organized for children to create awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco chewing, gutka consumption, and exposure to pesticides. Dr. Tubachi explained how these habits and substances can lead to serious health issues such as mouth cancer and neck cancer. The session was informative and impactful, encouraging children to adopt healthy habits and spread awareness among their families and communities.
