Special Initiative: Weeks of service
As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

CLLI
A CLLI program was conducted to strengthen leadership and understanding among Lion members. Lion Dr. U. G. Hiremath guided participants on how to effectively conduct club meetings, highlighting proper procedures, planning, and member participation. Lion S. H. Kabbinakantimath explained the roles and responsibilities of a Lion member, emphasizing service, leadership, and teamwork. The session was informative and motivating, helping members gain clarity and confidence to actively contribute to their club activities.

E-Waste Collection
An E-Waste Awareness Program was conducted at SJM Basaveshwar B.Ed. College, Haveri, to educate students about the proper disposal and management of electronic waste. The program highlighted the harmful effects of e-waste on the environment and human health if not handled responsibly. Students were informed about the importance of recycling, reducing electronic waste, and adopting eco-friendly practices. The session created awareness and encouraged participants to take active responsibility in protecting the environment.
