As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Making an Impact, One Activity at a Time!
BOD on 4-1-26, Jain Anathashram.
On Sunday, 04.01.26, at 11:00 AM, BOD (Board of Directors Meeting) was organized at Jain Orphanage (Mudhol Road, Jamkhandi). The topics to be discussed in the meeting are as follows. 1) Charter Night and celebration of Swami Vivekananda's Jayanti on January 12th. 2) Breast Milk Bank - Starting a permanent project. 3) Organizing a food drive from January 4 to 11 as per the order of DG. 4) Organizing a program to attach radium to dividers. 5) Organizing a biodiversity program at PMJF Ln Prof. B. K. Konnur's college. 6) Regarding reconstruction of GLBC bus shelter letter to MLA. 7) Other topics to be discussed as per the order of the President.

A food drive has been organized for the children of the ashram, Lions Serve First Service Filling Plates, Filling Hope, Every Lions Club Member Against Hunger. Hunger Has No Place Anywhere. Join Hands with Lions Clubs in Serving Meals.Service From the Heart: Feeding Our Poor and Hungry. This Annadasava program is organized by Anand Chougale and Srinivas Panalkar.

Distribution of food items to needy people under Hunger service week
Grocery items such as 2 kg basmati rice, 2 kg Sugar, 2 kg Atta, 2 kg maida, 1 kg tea powder, 1 ltr oil 1 kg dal and 500 gms of Ghee were distributed to 225 people from village of Colva, Benaulim, betalbatim, Seraulim. DC Hunger co-ordinator, Ln Adrian was present for the function.

Visitation to orphanage and distribution of food and other items
Visited 3 premises of orphanage 'Matruchaya' from Ponda, and distributed packets of Pao - Bhaji, Cake, Samosa and also water bottles for carrying the same when they go to school. total of 120 inmates were served ( 35 + 50 + 35 = 120 ). This was an attempt to celebtrate new year along with these children. Said project was partly sponsored by Imli Jar Café - Colva

Attended District Governor’s Official Visit to Lions Club of cortalim as Zone Chairperson on 20th Dec at Hotel Flora Grand . Date mentioned for Reporting is mentioned as 21Dec as earlier reported was wrongly mentioned as LC Dabolim which has been corrected.
