As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Donation of the Diwali Sweets to Matruchaya, a home to destitute & orphans
The members of Lions club of Ponda City Visited Matruchaya, a home to destitute & orphans at Dhavali Ponda Goa and donated Diwali sweets to the resident girls staying in the orphanage. 4 club members were present.

A Talk On Mental Health
On 11.10.2025 lions club of Curchorem Sanvorderm in collaboration with Government College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Quepem Goa organised “ A Talk On Mental Health “ for the General Public. Over 150 Students and General public attended the event. The event commenced with the welcome speech delivered by our esteemed Club President Lion Sameer Naik, who extended a warm greeting to all the dignitaries on the dias and off the dias as well as the gathered Audience. First and foremost, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Chief Guest, Hon. MLA Shri Nilesh Cabral, for gracing the function. We are grateful to Principal Dr. Pravina Kelkar for her constant support and cooperation in making this event possible. Our sincere appreciation to Dr. Pradnya Kakodkar, the program coordinator for graciously welcoming the resource person , and Mr. Vishal Naik, NSS in charge for mobilizing the student's and ensuring active participation and making this event a success. A special thank you to our Resource Person, Dr. Heena Sayad, for an enlightening and inspiring session on mental health. Mementos were graciously presented by our Club President to all the dignitaries as a mark of respect and gratitude for their valuable presence. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by our Club Secretary, Lion Nilkanth Pai, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, guests, and participants. BJP Spokesperson from Curchorem Constituency Mr. Ashish karmali attended and appreciated the Functoin. Our club president Lion Sameer Naik, Secretary Lion Nilkanth Pai, Treasurer Lion Ashwin Dsouza, our club VP1 Lion Rocha Periera, DC Lion Avin Naik, Club Member Lion Aslam Shaikh, Lion Vipul Shirsat, Lion Mithun Gurav were present for the event.

FREE Hearing and Speech test
On 10.10.2025 Lions Club of Curchorem sanvordem organised 1 day FREE Hearing and Speech test for all the citizens from Curchorem sanvordem Area. The initiative aimed to promote early detection of hearing and speech issues and create awareness about ear and speech health among the community. Function was graced by the Sir Nilesh Cabral, MLA Curchorem Constituency, Sir Prasanna Bhende Chairperson of Curchorem Cacora Municipal Council. Our Region 3 Region Chairperson MJF Lion vishwambhar kenkre, MJF Lion Rajendra Malkarnekar attended the functon. Our Club President Lion Sameer Naik, Secretary Lion Nilkanth Pai, Treasurer Lion Ashwin D'souza, Club VP1 lion Rocha Pereira, DC Lion Vaibhav Bale, DC lion Avin Naik , lion members Vipul Shirsat were present. A total of 46 General public were screened for hearing during the camp. The initiative received an encouraging response from the citizens. Special thanks to team of Dr. S. R. Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech And Hearing, Banglore for conducting tests and providing valuable guidance.

ME NTAL HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP WAS ORGANISED AT AJITAMANOCHETANA SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR SPECIAL CHILDREN AND MENTALLY RETARDED PEOPLE FROM PUBLIC. PSYCHIATRIST LION DR. S C KULAKARNI FROM HUBLI WAS THE CONSULTANT DOCTOR IN THE CAMP. REFFERED MEDICINES WERE ALSO DISTRIBUTED AT DISCOUNTED PRICE IN THE CAMP.

Attended Cabinet meeting
Second Cabinet meeting As Zone Chair of Zone III Region 12 , I attended the District Second Cabinet Meeting at Thailand on 4th of October 2025 I insisted the PSTs of all clubs in my Zone to the following points 1. Membership Growth Discussed with PST about the importance of adding new members and giving due importance to to retention. Clubs are adding new members and they will be adding before 31st December as they promised me. I am sure there will be positive growth in membership in my zone. 2. Regarding LCIF contributions Two clubs have already contributed to MJFs and became Golden clubs. L.C. Murdeshwar have been asked to contribute
