As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

WE CONDUCT FREE EYE SCREENING AT LIONS ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR IMPROVE THEIR STUDY. TOTAL 1200 STUDENTS EYE SCREENING 38 STUDENTS SELECTED FOR SPECTACLES.

The Weekly Annadasoh (11th Hunger Relief Activity) was carried out near District Hospital, Belgaum. More than 200 people were provided with steaming hot rice pulao. The activity was sponsored by Shri Ashok Siddannavar.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS TALK
Mental health awareness interactive talk was organised for school teachers and parents at lions School auditorium. Psychiatrist Dr. Ashay Telang was the resource person. Total 78 people participated in the interaction. Lion member participated 18.

MEDITATION CAMP UNDER SERVICE WEEK MENTAL HEALTH AND WELBEING
MEDITATION YOGA AND SUDARSHANA KRIYA WAS ORGANISED FOR LION MEMBERS AND GENERAL PUBLIC. UNDER SERVICE WEEK OF MENTAL HEALTH AND WEL BEING. 35 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN DAILY CAMP OF 10 DAYS (OCTOBER 4 TO 12). LION ARCHANA HEGDE AND LION PRASHANT HEGDE WERE THE YOGA TRAINERS. MENTAL HEALTH THROUGH MEDITATION WAS ACHIVED IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE ART OF LIVING ORGANISATION.

BOD for Month of October 2025
On 29th October 2025, Lions Club of Margao held its Board of Directors (BOD) meeting at Hotel Woodlands, Margao. The agenda included reviewing administrative accounts, planning upcoming service activities, and discussing future club events. Members actively participated in shaping the club’s roadmap with enthusiasm and clarity. The evening also featured a warm celebration of October-born members with a cheerful cake-cutting ceremony. Laughter, camaraderie, and shared purpose marked the fellowship that followed over dinner. The gathering reflected the club’s spirit of service, unity, and appreciation, reinforcing bonds while aligning on meaningful goals for the months ahead.
