As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Conducted a Seminar During Zone Advisory Meet Of Region 5 Zone 2
Conducted a session on United Nations Sustainable Goals UNSDG Promotion The Lions Club calangute hosted the District Governors first zone advisory for our Zone 2 zone Chairperson MJF Lion Richard Pinto along with him 12 members attended .The meeting was attended by guest speaker DC for UNSDG Lion Adrian Torres with hid seminar who highlighted the need for talks and mental wellbeing services and UNSDG # 3 & # 7 Adopted by Our District. The talk at the seminar was well appreciated by all

Blood donation camp
Blood donation camp was organised at varca sport complex hall varca in association with Blood Bank GMC bambolim. 55 units of blood was collected. PMJF Lion Erle Britto past district governor was the chief guest,Rev.Father Louis alvares was the guest of honour,ZC Lion gaurish vernekar and DC PMJF lion Joaquim Gonsalves and DC lion Harshad Naik and Lion Adrian Torres were present.PST and other members of salcete Lions and Leos were present.

Free health checkup camp and diabetes detection camp
Free health checkup camp and diabetes detection camp was organised at varca sport club Hall varca in association with imperial hospital Borda Fatorda and varca sport club. Various checkup like pressure checkup Blood sugar checkup ECG dental check up was done.Nearly 180 people benifited from the camp.Pmjf lion Erle Britto past district governor was the chief guest for the program.Rev father Louis alvares was the guest of honour.ZC Lion gaurish vernekar and DC PMJF lion Joaquim Gonsalves and DC lion Harshad Naik and Lion Adrian Torres were present.

A TUBECTOMY OPERATION CAMP WAS CONDUCTED AT GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL GOKAK ON 30.09.2025.MJF LION DR,ASHOK MURGOD CARRIED OUT 8 TUBECTOMY OPERATIONS WITH THE HELP OF OTHER DOCTORS OF THE HOSPITAL.PRESIDENT,SECRETARY AND MANY OTHER LIONS TOOK PART IN THE CAMP.

A FUND RAISING ACTIVITY,DANDIYA UTSAV WAS CONDUCTED BY LIONS CLUB GOKAK ON 28.09.2025 AT SPICE GARDEN GOKAK.ABOUT 500 PARTICIPANTS PARTICIPATED IN THE UTSAV,PRIZES FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE WERE GIVEN.ABOUT 60000 RUPEES WERE RAISED OUT OF THIS EVENT.
