As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Activity
On 19th September 2025, Lions Club of Dharwad organized a Childhood Cancer Awareness Program at Prism Science PU College, Dharwad. The session aimed to educate students about cancer, its symptoms, and preventive measures.Dr. Umesh Hallikeri delivered an insightful talk on various aspects of cancer, including its causes, early warning signs, and the importance of timely diagnosis. The event was graced by the presence of Club President Lion Ashwin Koppikar, Secretary MJF Lion Suresh Gudaganavar, Zonal Chairperson MJF Lion Shaila Karagudri, Lion Shrikanth Devagiri, PDG Lion Harsh Desai, and Prism College Founder Lion Srinivasa Timmanagoudar. Their participation greatly contributed to the success of the program.

Free Eye Check-up Camp
As part of an interclub twinning activity, Lions Club of Dharwad and Lions Club of Hubli Centennial, in association with M.M. Joshi Eye Institute, jointly organized a Free Eye Check-up Camp on 11th September 2025 at Havagi, Haliyal. During the camp, Dr. Aditya conducted detailed eye examinations for the students. A total of 168 students were screened and benefitted from this service-oriented initiative.On this occasion, Lions Club of Dharwad Secretary MJF Lion Suresh Gudaganavar, Treasurer Lion Srikanth Devagiri, Zonal Chairperson MJF Lion Shaila Karagudri, Lion Rajashri Gudaganavar, and many other Lion members were present and actively contributed to the success of the program

Zone Chairperson First Advisory Meeting
The First Advisory Meeting of the Zone Chairperson was held on 19th September 2025 at 6:00 PM at Lions School, Narayanpur, Dharwad. Members from Lions Club of Dharwad, Lions Club of Dharwad Galaxy, Lions Club of Hubli Centennial, and Lions Club of Hubli city participated in the meeting. A total of 16 members from four clubs attended the session. The host club for the meeting was Lions Club of Dharwad.Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Shaila Karagudri addressed the gathering and shared her inspiring thoughts during the meeting. The host club was well represented by President Lion Ashwin Koppikar, MJF Secretary Lion Suresh G., Treasurer Lion Srikanth Devagiri, and First Vice President Lion Kavita Angadi, who were all present on the occasion.

2nd General Body Meeting, Region Chairperson Official Visit & Engineers’ Day Celebration
The 2nd General Body Meeting of the Lions Club of Dharwad was held on 24th September 2025. On this occasion, the club had the honour of hosting the official visit of Region Chairperson PMJF Lion Dyanesh A. Natu (Region 8). As part of the celebration of Engineers’ Day, 15 engineers from the club were felicitated in recognition of their contributions to society and their respective fields. The Region Chairperson addressed the gathering with an inspiring message, motivating members to continue their dedicated service to the community. During the meeting, Md. Sadiq Page, son of Lion Sameer Page, was also felicitated for his outstanding academic achievement, having scored 93.47% in the SSLC examination. A total of 42 members attended the meeting, making the event both memorable and successful.

ILKAL AND MUDDEBIHAL TWO CLUB TWINING PROGRAM.
21st September, under the guidance of me and our zone 3 ZC, Mallikarjun Bidarkundi, we conducted the Ilkal and Muddebhihal club twinning program. In this program, we got lot of knowledge with all new ideas and innovative work from all members.ILKAL AND MUDDEBIHAL TWO-CLUB TWINNING PROGRAM.

muddebihal club 51-year-old club having Lions School as a permanent project in Muddebhihal. PST and present ZC of my region LN Mallikarjun Bidarakundi sir, was very active. in the club. During my visit responce of lion members was very good .

Jamakandi club official visit.
The Jamakandi Club was very old club having lot of knowledge. and all members was very energetic, and they are doing wonderful work in our region. till date they complited more than 50 programs president and team was very active iam very much impressed with this club. On the 19th sep evening, I traveled from Ilkal, which is 180 km away from my home city . With this club visit, I got a lot of knowledge from all the senior Lion members of Jamakandi.

Mudalagi Pariwar club official visit
On the 18th of September, I visited the Mudalagi Parivar Club. All the members of the club were very active and energetic, and it's a 10-year-old club. and has senior Lion charter members in the group . I discussed the golden jubilee year of our district. and all activities, themes, future plans, etc. All members are very happy with this year's work.
