As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

RC Visit
On 19-09-2025, Lions Club of jamkhandi arranged RC visit. RC(Reason Chairperson 2025-26) of our Region-11 Ln.Dr.MJF. Santosh Pujar visited our Lions Club of jamkhandi and appreciated our service activities. In this program, we submitted our program activities and highlighted our service activities till date.

On 18/9/2025, Lions Club of jamkhandi, collaboration with Nirani foundations conducted a program on free health checkup at Sai Priya sugars around 900 peoples benefited.

Teachers day celebration.
Our Region Chairperson Lion Dharmu G. Raut Desai paid his Official Visit to our Club on Friday, 19th September 2025. On this occasion Lions Club of Canacona as part of their Teacher’s Day Celebration and the Official Visit of Region Chairperson Lion Dharmu Raut Desai, function was organized at Shri Damodar Vidyalaya High School- Loliem Canacona, at 11.00 am, on 19th September where in three Dedicated Teachers of Canacona, 1. Shri Jitendra Amshekar, Head Master, Shri Damodar Vidyalaya Loliem. 2. Shri Nilesh Prabhu Desai, P.E. Teacher, Shri Nirakar Vidyalaya Mashem. 3. Mrs. Maria Archana Carvallo, Govt. Pry. School Teacher, Panyephond Canocona were felicitated at the hands of R. C. On this occasion we have invited Shri Vilas Satarkar, Head Master of Dr. K. B. Hedgewar High School, Kujira Panaji, an Eminent Educationist and this year's National Best Teachers Award Winner and whose school has given 100% S.S.C. result for consecutively 18 years, as Guest Speaker with the intention to inspire and motivate the students and the teachers community attending the function. Shri Vilas Satarkar was also felicitated on this occasion as he has been awarded The Best Teachers National Award this year, at the hand of President of India on 5th September 2025. In his address R. C. Lion Dharmu G. Raut Desai, stressed and appealed the students to avoid the use of plastic and not to litter it anywhere, instead develope the habit of collecting it where ever they find it and hand it over to the agencies of Panchayat or Municipality so that the environment will remain none polluted. Shri Vilas Satarkar in his address explained how their School transformed from struggling stage to one of the established school in the Capital city of Panaji and could achieve this success only because of Strong Team Work. He explained the Role of Parents Teachers and particularly of Students in the New Education Policy of 2020. Around 300 gathering of Students, Teachers, and other eminent personalities of the society and Members of the Club attended the function. Duration of the function was from 11.30 am to 1.45 pm, almost 2 hours and 15 minutes and was grand success. Function was followed by our activity of joy for giving where lunch was served to needy students of Boys Hostel of Shri Damodar Vidyalaya High School as a part of 5hunger activity. Along with 80 students, 30 teachers and 30 Lions members and guests joined for lunch.

Mr.BABU JUVEKAR,A LOCAL DIGNITARY,SDMC PRESIDENT,ANKOLA SHIRSTEDAR AND LIONS CLUB PRESIDENT. LN. RAMESH PARAMAR WERE PRESENT AT THE CEREMONY.SENIOR LN. MEMBER MAHANTESH REVADI, SECRETARY K.M GOWDA AND LN.DR.KARUNAKAR NAIK SPOKE. Dr.VINAYAK JUVEKAR, WHO IS CURRENTLY A RESEARCH STUDENT IN THE US,DONATED TWO COMPUTERS TO THE SCHOOL .Mr. BABA JUVEKAR WAS FELICIATED ON THIS OCCASION.THE SCHOOL TEACHERS EXPRESSED THEIR GRATITUDE.

VISION
Today's eye checkup camp at our Lion's medical centre old hubli. Dr Mayur Kulkarni from MMJE Hospital Hubli examined around 20 beneficiaries and out of which 4 beneficiaries were referred for cataract operation. RBS and BP check up was done by Vivek Ambekar and Hiremath to 6 beneficiaries. Shreya Hiremath assisted us. WE SERVE.

PARTICIPATED IN DLLI 2025 AT HUBBALLI
I had the privilege of participating in the Lions District 317B DLLI Programme held at Hotel Ritz, Hubli, on 13th and 14th September 2025. The two-day learning session was truly a wonderful experience, filled with rich insights and meaningful interactions. The faculty members were highly knowledgeable and delivered their sessions with great clarity and depth. The programme covered essential aspects of leadership, effective communication, planning, delegation, and LCIF matters. Each session was engaging and thought-provoking, adding immense value to our journey as Lions. I am honoured to have been judged as the Best Participant of the programme, and it was a proud moment when our District Governor presented me with the Lions International President’s Pin. This training programme has been a highly useful platform for grooming Lions to become effective leaders in their clubs and beyond. It was indeed an inspiring and enriching experience.
