As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Elocution Competition for School
Lions Club of Sankhali in association with Vivekanand Dhyan Mandir High school organised Bicholim & Sattari Taluka inter school Elocution Competition for junior and senior category on 20th August 2025 in said school premises at Keri Sattari Goa. Students from 11 schools participated and wonderfully presented on the topics given to them. Cash prizes, trophies and certificates were presented to the first 5 winners in both category. Zone Chairperson Ln Sachin Patil was the Chief Guest for the prize distribution function. Total 5 Lion members were present for the event including President, Secretary, GMT coordinator MJF Ln Sushant Pokle, ZC Ln Sachin Patil, PMJF Ln Praveen Blaggan.

Official Visit of Zone Chairperson
The Zone Chairperson paid a visit to our club in his official capacity and conveyed insights on the targets set by the District Governor. All members present enjoyed the evening in the company of the ZC and invitees.

LIONS CLUB GOKAK CONDUCTED SKIN CHECKUP CAMP AT SANGANAKERI VILLAGE NEAR GOKAK ON 29.08.2025.Dr.PREETI CHOUDHARY A LEADING DERMATOLOGIST OF GOKAK WITH HER TEAM CARRIEDOUT THE CAMP SUCCESSFULLY.72 PATIENTS WERE CHECKED UP AND FREE MEDICINES WERE GIVEN.LION Dr ASHOK PATIL ,PRESIDENT LION SHRISHAIL HANJI,AND MANY LIONS PARTICIPATED IN THE CAMP.

Foot pulse therapy camp organized by the club
Free Foot pulse Therapy clinic camp was held in our clubhouse. 12 day camp which started on 19th of August 2025, was concluded on 30th of August 2025.

KRISHNA RADHA FANCY DRESS FOR PRE SCHOOL CHILDREN
KRISHNA RADHA YASHODHA FANCY DRESS COMPITITION WAS ORGANISED IN LIONS PRE SCHOOL SIRSI, INVOLVING LEO CLUB SIRSI MEMBERS TO ORGANIZE AND CONDUCT THE EVENT. PRIZES GIFTS AND CERTIFICATES TO ALL PARTICIPANTS WERE SPONSORED BY LIONS CLUB OF SIRSI.4 JUDGES WERE PROFESIONALS IN VARIOUS FIELDS OF ART AND CULTURE.

RAINWATER HARVESTING PROJECT AT MATTIGAR RURAL SCHOOL
RAINWATER HARVESTING PROJECT AT MATTIGAR RURAL PRIMARY SCHOOL WAS COMPLETED AND INAUGURATED ON 19/8/2025 AT THE HANDS OF REGION CHAIRPERSON MJF LION RAJESH SALEHITTAL AND ZONE CHAIRPERSON MJF LION VINAY G HEGDE. THE PROJECT WAS DONE AT THE COST OF RS. 95,000/- THROUGH DONATIONS FROM MEMBERS AND CLUB FUNDS. MJF LION SHRIKANTH HEGDE WAS THEINCHARGE AND PROJECT COORDINATOR.PRESIDENT MJF LION GURURAJ HONAVAR SECRETARY LION MANOHAR MALMANE TREASURER LION PRAKASH HEGDE ALONG WITH OTHER LION MEMBERS AND PUBLIC AND SCHOOL STAFF INNAUGURATION WAS DONE.
