As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Food Donation for Old Age Home at Chandor Margao on 02nd August 2025
Donated Food Supply and Organized Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for 1 day i.e. 2nd August 2025 for the Inmates of Old Age Home Chandor having 25 inmates. Food was donated by our Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Krishnagi Bagali on his birthday 2nd August 2025

Distribution of pens and notebooks to school children
Notebooks and pens are distributed to Government school in Gangavathi in association with Vasudha foundation Our senior lion Ln.Dr.Somaraju sir, Lions club president Dr.Shivakumar Malipatil Ln.Rajashekar heroor, Ln.Ravi Chaitanya reddy Lions club treasurer Shivappa Gali , and School HM Jayashree Hakkandi, Teacher Siddhalingesh polabhavi,Bhimappa Participated today's event.

Free eye check up camp
Free eye check up camp was organised at panchayat hall orlim salcete goa in association with village panchayat orlim and Matoshri seva trust mumbai.The camp started at 9.00 am and was over at 4.00 pm. Nearly 140 people benefited from the camp.Spectacles worth Rs.3000 was given at nominal price of Rs 160. All the panchayat members and sarpanch was present for the camp.zone chairman lion Gaurish vernekar was also present for the camp.This is second such camp organised by the club during this month.

Tree plantation
Tree plantation drive was undertaken by the club on 25th August 2025 at police outpost cavelossim.various saplings were planted at open space and surrounding of our post. Saplings were also distributed to the villagers. Nearly 60 fruit bearing and medicinal saplings were planted.

NEW MEMBER ADDITION TO LIONS CLUB OF SIRSI
During the recent visit of the Region Chairperson to the Lions Club of Sirsi, a new member, Lion Kiran Naik, was formally inducted into the club. The induction ceremony was conducted with great dignity and enthusiasm. Senior Lion and MJF Lion S. J. Khairana administered the membership oath, officially welcoming Lion Kiran Naik into the Lions fraternity. This addition marks another step forward in strengthening the club’s membership base and enhancing its capacity to serve the community more effectively.

MEMBER ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR LIONS CLUB OF SIRSI
The Lions Club of Sirsi successfully conducted a Club-Level Member Orientation Programme aimed at educating and engaging both new and existing members. The session was graced by our senior and dynamic Lion, MJF Lion S. J. Khairana, who delivered an insightful lecture on Mission 1.5 of Lions International. He elaborated on the procedure for admitting new members, including introduction, invitation, induction, involvement, and retention strategies, emphasizing the importance of member engagement for the growth of the club. Following this, GLT Coordinator MJF Lion Ashok Hegde delivered an enlightening session on Lions Clubs International, explaining its organizational structure, hierarchy, objectives, and service activities. His presentation helped members gain a deeper understanding of the vision and functioning of the global Lions movement. Both sessions proved to be highly informative and educative, benefiting all attendees, especially the newly inducted members, by strengthening their understanding of the organisation and its mission.

Really an informative visit. During this visit specially talked about "Awareness of Eye Donation" and handed out the eye donation awareness campaign pamphlets released by the Lions Nayana Eye Bank, Sirsi
