As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Free Dental Camp
Free Dental Camp Lions Club of Jamkhandi (Dist. 317-B, Region-11, Zone-3) organized a free dental medical camp to promote oral health and hygiene awareness among students. Childhood Cancer Awareness
Project/Event Title: "A Talk on Childhood Cancer Awareness" Organizing Club: Lions Club of Jamkhandi (Dist. 317-B, Region-11, Zone-3) Date & Time: January 28, 2026, 10:00 AM Location: Government Kannada Model Primary Nutan Vidyalaya School, Jamkhandi Objective: To educate school students about childhood cancer awareness, early attention to health, and the value of compassion and support. Collaborators/Partners: Indian Medical Association, Nadoj. MJF Dr. Daddi (Speaker) Summary of Activities: The club organized an awareness talk for students, delivered by Dr. Daddi, focusing on nurturing a healthier and more aware future generation.

INFERTILITY AWARENESS
"Infertility Awareness" talk was held at "Lions Club of Assagao" premises on Wednesday, 28th January, 2026 from 10:00 AM by "INDIRA IVF" Goa team. It was a Joint activity with four Lions clubs, namely, "Assagao"; "Chodan"; "Mapusa" & "Mapusa Elite". The important message was to create awareness on creating Happy Parenthood.

REPUBLIC DAY - 26th January 2026
Lions Club of Chodan jointly with "Chorao Senior Citizens Cell" organised a talk on INDIAN CONSTITUTION by Chief Guest and resource person Lion Ashok Desai on the occasion of Republic Day, 26th January 2026 at "Lions Day Care Centre" Chorao. In addition to interactive Session, Lion Ashok Desai answered all questions put up by the 40 odd participants. Prior to the talk, a young promising youth of Chorao Mr. Aaron Rodrigues conducted a quiz on Indian Constitution. It was a knowledge filled atmosphere.

Pmjf.Ln.Dr.Chandrasekhar shetty visit to lions eye hospital
Pjmf Ln.Dr.Chandrasekhar shetty ,former vice Chancellor ,chief technical advisor , *Sight first India and Srilanka* visited our new lions eye hospital at kampli road ,Gangavathi. That was formal visit to hospital and he has appreciated Gangavathi lions club service to poor and needy people. During the visit our senior members Dr.Chandrappa , Dr.Somaraju , club president Dr.Shivakumar Malipatil , secretary Ln.Jambanna Ayli, treasurer Ln.Shivappa , Ravi chaitanya reddy ,Suresh S , Ln.Rajshekar heroor and other members were felicitated the Dr.Chandrasekhar shetty for his great service to Sight first project of lions club international.

On 18th January 2026 I attended the “Golden Jubilee Celebration Function” held in the morning, in which MP, MLA and other political leaders participated. It was conducted between 10:30 am and 1 pm.
