As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Lions club of Avedem Paroda celebrated Lions founders day. A special BOD was convened to celebrate Birthday of Melwin Jones at Aqua splash Chandor Goa. Cake was cut by the club president Lion Shakuntala Raut Dessai in the presence of club charter secretary lion Ujwal Gauns Dessai, charter member Lion adv Anand Dessai, Lion Dharmu Raut Dessai RC, secretary Lion Anil Sawant Dessai, Treasurer Lion Shreenath Kamat, Lion Balkrishna Prabhu Dessai and Lion Deepak Kharangate. RC gave a brief talk about Melwin Jones life. Members renewed their commitments to serve the needy in the surrounding communities. Meeting followed by fellowship n dinner.
