As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Celebration of completion of 150 years for Vande Mataram- National song
Essay competition was organised for the students of primary government school Chicalim where students enthusiastically participated. The competition was held in celebration of 150 years of completion for Vande Mataram- The National Song. Prizes were distributed accordingly.

Prizes and certificates were awarded to winners and all participants who participated for fancy dress on Independence Day.

Diabetics detection camp
Lions club of Vasco da Gama organised a mega camp for diabetics detection in association with Urban health Center where Lions club of Dabolim Lions club of Chicalim bogmallo Lions club of Majorda Velsao Lions club of Marmugao Lions club of cortalim Actively participated and supported Lions club of Vasco da Gama. The camp was done under Region chairperson MJF Lion Premanand Kerkar guidance. Zone chairperson Lion Arnaldo do Rego was also present.

Children day celebration
On the occasion of Children day Lions club of Vasco da Gama celebrated with children of Primary Government school Chicalim - Goa. Function started with singing of National song Vande Mataram.. celebrating completion of 150 years for this song. Later Prize distribution was held for fancy dress competition which was conducted on 15th Aug and also Handwriting skill competition prizes were handed over respectively. Games and dance was conducted for students and snacks were distributed. Total 26 students were present. Also water bottles were given to each student. The whole event was sponsored by senior member Lion Jaswinder and club secretary Advocate Lion Sunil Loran.

Distribution of Sanitary napkins/ pads and talk on hygiene
Sanitary Pads were distributed to the girls of St. Anthony’s Home Verna-Goa. Also small talk was given to the girls on how to use the sanitary pads and stay hygienic. Sanitary Pads were sponsored by President Lion Shilpa

Drawing competition on environment
Lions club of Vasco da Gama organised drawing competition to all the age groups of inmates ( girls) of st. Anthony’s home, Verna Goa. All Participants were given prizes and snacks after the competition. Competition was judges by District chairperson Lion Custodio Fernandes.
