As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Peace poster competition
Peace Poster competition was held for inmates (girls) of st. Anthony’s home , Verna-Goa. All Participants were awarded with tropies and stationery items. District chairperson Lion Custodio Fernandes graced the event and judged the participants. After the competition snacks was provided to the children. Sister Judith incharge of st. Anthony’s home , thanked Lions club of Vasco da Gama for giving this opportunity to the children.

VISION
Today's Eye Checkup camp at our Lion's Medical center Hubli Dr Abhinav Joshi along with Vadiraj Katti from MMJE hospital examined 30 beneficiaries out of which16 beneficiaries referred for cataract operations. Vivek Ambekar along with Hiremath examined RBS BP to 21 beneficiaries. 👍👍We SERVE🙏🙏

RCs Monthly Region Activity (November)
Visitation to an orphanage, Mataji Mandir at Canacona, Goa. Attended speeches given by Lion Club dignitaries. The birthday celebrants of the region for the month of November celebrated by cutting a cake and distributed snacks and donated a water tank to the orphanage.

Visited the students at St. Vincente de Paul school at Curtorim, interacted with the students through music and food. Distributed gifts to the students before leaving.

"Lions Club of Mahalingapur Green Basin celebrated Ln Kiran Sannakki's daughter Kumari Anvita's birthday by distributing 1) School bags, 2) Tracksuits, and T-shirts 3) Arranged breakfast to government school students. The event was made even more special with a thoughtful breakfast arrangement by Kiran Sannakki. 🎉🎂"
