These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

E Waste Collection and Awareness Drive 2025
On 22nd November 2025, the Lions Club of Margao organized an impactful E‑Waste Drive, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility. The initiative focused on collecting discarded electronic items from households and institutions, ensuring their safe disposal to prevent pollution and promote sustainability. A dedicated collection center was set up, enabling community members to deposit old gadgets, batteries, and appliances conveniently. Volunteers guided participants on the importance of proper e‑waste management and its role in protecting future generations. The drive concluded with the responsible disposal of all collected materials, marking a significant step toward cleaner surroundings and raising awareness about eco‑friendly practices.

RC Visit to Lion Club of Margao on 22nd Nov 2025
On 22nd November 2025, the Lions Club of Margao organized a special activity to strengthen the club at Laxmi Empire Hotel, Margao. The program was graced by the Region Chairperson, who visited the club along with other Presidents, Secretaries, and Treasurers (PST) from clubs across the region. The gathering provided an opportunity to share ideas, review initiatives, and reinforce unity among members. Discussions focused on enhancing service projects, fostering collaboration, and building stronger bonds within the Lions fraternity. The evening concluded with a fellowship dinner, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere that highlighted the spirit of togetherness and commitment to community service.

Eye Screening Camp @ Ravindra Kelekar Dynmandir High School at Margao for KGII to 3rd Standard
A comprehensive vision screening camp was conducted for pre-primary and primary students of Ravindra Kelekar Dynmandir High School, Margao, Goa. The initiative aimed to identify early signs of visual impairment and promote eye health among young learners. A total of 164 students underwent screening during the camp. Of these, 71 students were referred for further evaluation due to refractory vision defects, indicating the need for corrective measures such as spectacles or specialist consultation. The program was instrumental in raising awareness about pediatric eye care and ensuring timely intervention. It reflects the school’s commitment to holistic student well-being and was well-received by parents and staff alike.

Dental Camp @ School Ravindra Kelekar Dynmandir High School On 19th Nov 2025 conducted by Lion Dr. Satish Haldonkar and Lion Dr. Alisha Haldonkar for 8th & 9th Standard Class Student, a total of 103 Students benefited, 3 Students identified with best dentition were given prices and 20 students identified and referred for urgent dental checkup. Along with the checkup a dental hygiene kit bearing Tooth paste and mouth wash and Dental Hygiene guidelines pamphlet was distributed amongst the students.

Mental Health Awareness Talk @ Ramacrisna Madeva Salgaocar Higher Secondary School at Margao
On 11th November 2025 at 3:30 pm, RMS Higher Secondary School, Margao hosted a Mental Awareness Talk conducted by the Lions Club of Margao. The session was led by Ms. Ketaki Porab, who addressed pressing issues of student mental health and the importance of awareness in shaping responsible youth. She highlighted challenges such as stress, peer influence, and emotional imbalance, while sharing practical methods to build resilience and self‑control. The interactive talk encouraged students to adopt mindfulness, positive habits, and open communication. The program reinforced the school’s and Lions Club’s commitment to nurturing balanced, confident, and socially responsible individuals.

Attended Session on Formation of Specialty Clubs & Club Extensions at Hubli — Conducted by the Global Extension Team, Lions District 317B
Attended the Lions District 317B organised session at Hubli on the formation of Speciality Clubs and Club Extensions. District GST Coordinator MJF Lion Sudha Hanumareddi briefed about the programme. The session was inaugurated by the District Governor, who addressed the gathering on the importance of the subject. Keynote Speaker MJF Lion Kirti Naik, District Cabinet Secretary, explained the significance of club extension and speciality clubs. Later, an interactive entertainment segment was held where members presented mimicry, jokes and songs, making the programme a blend of learning and enjoyment. All participants actively enjoyed the session.

Attended the Inauguration of Traffic Police Chowki Built and Donated by Lions Club Sirsi
On 13 November 2025, Lions Club Sirsi proudly inaugurated a newly constructed Traffic Police Chowki, built and donated by the Club to support effective traffic regulation and public safety in Sirsi town. The new facility is located at the main junction on College Road, a busy and strategic location near Lions Nagar and Lions School, where heavy vehicle and student movement is seen throughout the day. This Chowki will significantly assist the Traffic Police in maintaining smooth traffic flow and ensuring road safety. The inauguration programme was graced by distinguished dignitaries: District Governor, Dist. 317B – MJF Lion Jaimol Naik District Cabinet Secretary – MJF Lion Kirti Naik Multiple Council Chairperson, Multiple 317 – MJF Lion Mohan Kumar, and his spouse Lion Prema Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sirsi – Smt. Geeta Patil Traffic Police Officers and Staff All dignitaries highly appreciated the service initiative of Lions Club Sirsi, calling it a meaningful and visionary project that strengthens public utility infrastructure. The public also expressed great appreciation for the thoughtful effort. The programme was also attended by Region Chairperson MJF Lion Rajesh Sale Hittal, and many Lions members. As Zone Chairperson, I had the honour of attending the function and witnessing this impactful community service. This project stands as a strong brand-building initiative for Lions Club Sirsi and Lions International, reflecting our commitment to the motto “We Serve.”
