As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Breast Cancer detection camp at varca
Club organised a breast cancer detection camp in coordination with Varca persioners at varca church hall. Camp was s grand success. We organised another camp next day due to public demand.more than 75 people benifited from the camp

Attended and participated in a Skit performed by organised and conducted by the District 317B. at Panjim Main Bus Stand under UNSDG#3.
Attended and participated in a Skit performed by the District 317B officers, Lions Club of Panjim Members and students of MES College to support Lions Mental Health Awareness programme under UNSDG#3. This event held at KTC main bus stand at around 4 p.m. Large crowd was attracted and supported by the public too. The event was co ordinated by the Dc Lion Adrean and Lions Club Old Goa. Many of the District Cabinet officers attended the event. The date of this event be considered as 07 October 2025.

Closing of World Mental Health week at Zone level
World Mental Health closing was conducted on 12th Oct by candle light marking the end of the world Mental health week . RDC UNSDG Lion Adrian Torres was part of the event and Dr Vithoba Mahalkar (IPHB) was feliciated on the ocassion . Activity was conducted on 12th Oct at Hotel Flora Grand , Vasco . Activity date is mentioned as 17th Oct due to system constraint.

The Lions Club of Candolim organised a talk on " Managing Emotions and Building Self Esteem" for the students of Don Bosco Youth Welfare Centre today, 6/10/2025. The 1.5 hour interactive session was conducted by the charismatic and energetic Ms. Akila Sadik, a psychological counsellor from Beautiful Minds Wellness Services. The students gained a lot of insight on how to manage and control stress. We were also grateful to have the presence of DC for UNSDG Programme Lion Adrian Torres for today's activity.

Attended and participated a Rally with slogans and Posters to support Lions Mental Health Awareness programme under UNSDG#3 was performed at Old Goa St Francis Church square Gandhi Circle on Mental Health Awareness topis. This skit was performed by the MES college students, teachers and Lions members. Large crowd was attracted and supported by the public too.
