As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

WORLD WHITE CANE DAY ON15.10.2025
THE WORLD WHITE CANE DAY WAS ORGANISED ON 15TH OCTOBER, 2025, BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE BLIND, IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE LIONS CLUB OF PANJIM. THIS HAS BEEN A PERMANENT ACTIVITY ANNUALLY. THE ZC MJF LION RICHARD PINTO IS THE HON. SECRETARY OF THE NAB, AND HE ALONG WITH THE LC OF PANJIM, MEMBERS, ENSURE THAT THEY PARTICIPATE IN ONE OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS ACTIVITY', OF "WALK WITH THE BLIND".

THE 2ND DISTRICT CABINET MEETING WAS HELD IN THAILAND ON 4TH OCTOBER, 2025. IT WAS WELL ATTENDED BY MOST MEMBERS OF THE DISTRICT CLUBS. I WAS HAPPY TO PRESENT THE REPORT FOR REGION 5 ON BEHALF OF THE RC LION MURTAZA MATHERANWALA & BE A PART OF THE PROCEEDINGS.

ORGANISED AN AWARENESS CAMP ON MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH FOR THE STUDENTS OF RNS RURAL POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE IN MURDESHWAR. DR.SUNIL K JATHAN AND K MARISWAMI IMPARED INFORMATION ON MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH AND WEL-BEING TO THE CHILDREN AND ARROUND 100 STUDENTS BENEFITED FROM THE CAMP.
