As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Mental health and well-being program

Mental health and well-being programme was organised by Lions Club of Honavar at Government ITI Honavar. 190 students, Principal & 6 teachers and 12 Lion members attendedthe programme. Resource person Lion Dr Narasimha Pandit from Art of Living Bengaluru gave an excellent lecture with activities from 11 am to 1 pm on 11.10.2025.

Chess Tournament for Juniors.

Our Club conducted Junior Chess competition in association with Belgaum District Chess Association at Gujrath Bhavan. In all 130 students participated. 3 categories were made ie Under 8, Under 12 & Under 16. Prizes and other expences touched ₹ 50,000/-. Cups & certificates were given to the winners. Lunch was provided for the participants and parents. Lion Dinesh Bhirade, Event Chairperson planned and executed the entire event.

Resource person Lion Dr Narasimha Pandit from Art of Living Bengaluru gave an excellent lecture with activities.

VISITED THE YOGA CAMP AT KPS TERNAMAKKI IN THE EARLY MORNING AND GAVE AWARENESS ON MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH AND DISTRIBUTED FRUITS TO ALL YOGA CAMPERS.

*Event Name:* Let's Dandiya 2025 *Venue:* SMT. Hirabai Zantye Memorial Hall, Bicholim #### Organized By - *Lions Club of Bicholim* - *Rotaract Club of Bicholim* - *Rotary Club of Bicholim* #### Attendance - *Total Attendees:* Over 700 individuals participated in the event. #### Event Highlights - *Music and Dance:* The event featured traditional Dandiya music and dance. The energy on the dance floor was vibrant, with people of all ages participating enthusiastically. - *Cultural Significance:* Emphasized traditional attire and the cultural importance of Dandiya during the festival season. - *Decorations:* The hall was adorned with colorful decorations, contributing to the festive and joyful atmosphere of the evening. The Let's Dandiya event was a testament to the collaborative efforts of our clubs, successfully bringing the community together for an evening of fun, culture, and connection. - *Positive Feedback:* Attendees appreciated the organization and the lively environment.

SPECIAL CAMP FOR CHILDREN WITH SPEECH AND HEARING ISSUE.

SPECIAL CAMP FOR CHILDREN WITH SPEECH AND HEARING ISSUE. The Lions Club of Canacona organized a special camp for children with speech and hearing issue on 06/10/2025, at Lokvishwas Pratishthan School for Special children, Devabag Canacona and Mataji Mandir Vidyarthi Vastigraha Bhagatwada Canacona. The camp was started 10:00 am. To 5: 00 pm. 70 Student and 20 staff members at Lokvishwas Pratisthan Special School and 80 student and 10 staff members of Mataji Mandir Vidyati Vastgrah were benefit of this camp. Total 180 beneficiary of this camp, 10 Lions members participated spend 7 hrs. And Rs. 25000/- spend to success this programme.
