Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION AND HONOURING TEACHERS OF LIONS SCHOOL

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION AND HONOURING TEACHERS OF LIONS SCHOOL PROGRAM WAS ORGANISED AT LIONS AUDITORIUM SIRSI. TOTAL 82 TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING STAFF WERE FELICITATED WITH GIFTS OF LAPTOP BAGS AND SILVER COINS. SILVER COINS WERE SPONSORED BY MJF LION PRADEEP ELLANKAR. LUNCH WAS ARRANGED FOR ALL. BESIDES THIS A RETIRED TEACHER SMT TARA BAILUR ALSO FELICITATED IN THE PROGRAM. LION SHANKAR HEGDE RENDERED A LECTURE ON TEACHERS IMPORTANCE IN EVERYBODIES LIFE.

WE HAVE SERVED MIDDAY MEAL TO PEOPLE FROM VARIOUS AREAS SURROUNDING BANAVASI AND THEY ALL ARE REBUILDING THEIR HOMES WHICH WERE COLLAPSED FULLY OR PARTIALLY DUE TO HEAVY RAIN AND FLOOD OCCURED BY RIVER VARADA.
