As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

VISION
Today's eye checkup camp at our Lion's medical centre old hubli. Dr Pranita Kakad from MMJE hospital Hubli examined. around 15 beneficiaries and out of which 6 beneficiaries were referred for cataract operation and RBS and BP checkup was done by Vivek Ambekar and N Hiremath to 7 beneficiaries. Shreya Hiremath and lion Bhaskar Sholapurkar were part of our today's camp...WE SERVE.

Public relations activity
Attended Konkanni language recognition day on 20th August 2025, at Fomento Hall in Saraswati Mandir in panaji Goa. District Cabinet Secretary MJF Lion Dr. Kirti Naik was the chief guest. the show was organized by the Konkanni writers association and Arth productions. largely attended by poets and writers.

1st Zone Advisory conducted
1st Zone Advisory was conducted on 17th Aug hosted by LC Majorda. All the 5 clubs PST, GAT memebers attended the same . Total 27 members attended the advisory . All the clubs office Bearers presented their action plan and other aspects during the same . More focuseed approach from ZC was given on conduction service activity and reporting the same . Quiz on Lions History was also conducted with respect to Knowledge for the lions Members . Every one eagerly participated .

Session on Mission 1.5
Conducted a session on Mission 1.5 on 17th Aug . District Ambassador for Mission 1.5 MJF Lion Sunil Mevada conducted the same . All the 5 clubs from the Zone attended the same . This was conducted at LC Majorda Club House . As this training session was conducted on 17th Aug since the system is not taking its reported as date Aug 18th It was very fruitfull session and all the 5 clubs have promised to enhance memebership growth .

Conducted a session on UN Sustainability
On 17th Aug conducted session on Sustainability Goa . The session was conducted by DC for UN Sustainability Goal Lion Adrian Torres at LC Majorda Club House . All the 5 Zone clubs memebes attended the same and also poster were released on the ocassion for UN Sustainability Goals .

Conducted session on Service
On 17th Aug conducted session on Service level and various means of service and its impacts . Key note speaker MJF Ln Ritu Arolkar took the session . This was conducted at LC Majorda club house . All the 5 Zone clubs members attended this session . She emphasished on different areas of service in allignment with Distrct & International Goals . Overall its was very informative and Frutfull sesssion .

Visited LC Dabolim
Visited LC Dabolim as Zone Chairperson at Hotel Flora Grand on 15th Aug at 8 pm . Attended BOD Meeting and guided the club over the District and International Goals . Note : since I had two club visit on the same day , I am not able to report this activity. Hence I have clicked date as 16th Aug .

Cultural Programme Judged
On 15th Aug cultural program was organized by GPS, Quelossim and I was one of the judge . Students from std 1 to 7th participated and performed patriotic songs . All the winners were distrubuted prices as per . Members of lions club of cortalim sponsered the prizes and were part of this programm .

Eye check up camp for students
Lions club of Vasco da Gama participated in Zone activity where Zone chairperson Lion Arnaldo do Rego conducted a Eye screening camp which was Successful conducted for the students of *Municipal* *High* *School* and the students of *Government* *High* *School** Vasco Total number of students eyes Screened was 237 Out of which 46 students were referred to the opthalmologist for futher investigation of their vision .
