As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Attennded ZC Advisory meeting held at Lions club of Majorda
On the evening of 17th August 2025, the Lions Club of Old Goa actively participated in the 1st Zone Advisory Meeting, hosted by the Lions Club of Majorda at their clubhouse. The meeting witnessed the presence of all PST members from the five clubs of the Zone. The session was enriched by the guidance and insights shared by several distinguished District Cabinet Members. Key highlights included: Address by District GST Member MJF Ln Ritu Arolkar Address by DC for UN Sustainable Development (Goa) Ln Adrian Torres Address by District Ambassador (Mission 1.5) MJF Ln Sunil Mevada The meeting concluded with Zone Chairperson MJF Ln Daniel extending heartfelt thanks to all the dignitaries, PSTs, and members for their valuable participation and contributions

Served Food to 60 Inmates and 20 staff members of Mother Theresa Old age home
On 17th August 2025, the Members of the Lions Club of Old Goa visited Mother Theresa Old Age Home, Mogada – Carambolim. The members spent quality time with the inmates, sharing conversations, laughter, and moments of joy. A nutritious meal was served to 60 inmates and 20 staff members, generously sponsored by Project Coordinator MJF Lion Sunil Mevada. The inmates expressed their happiness and gratitude, making the visit a truly heartwarming experience for all members. The Club extends its sincere thanks to the management and staff of the Home for their support and hospitality. This project once again reaffirmed our Lions motto, “We Serve,” as members pledged to continue reaching out to those in need with compassion and care.

Independence Day Celebration
Lions Club of Sankahli celebrated 79th Independence Day at our adopted Government Primary School, Harvalem, Sankhali Goa. President Ln. Jyotsna Pokle hoisted the National Flag. Students delivered speeches and presented the dance during the function. Later sweet boxes sponsored by President Ln. Jyotsna Pokle were distributed to the students and all present. Total 6 Lions members from our club were present.

Adolescent health and Menstrual hygiene Talk
Lions Club of Sankhali conducted Adolescent health and Menstrual hygiene Talk for the girls students of Shri Bhumika Higher Secondary School, Parye Goa. A total of 350 students attended the program with a healthy and fruitful outcome. Our Club member Ln Dr Anu Budkule was the resource person. 6 members from our club attended the program.

International Youth Day Program
Lions Club of Sankhali in collaboration with the Government College of Arts Science and Commerce organised an International Youth Day program. Two experienced resource persons were present. Lion Sunita Sawant Superintendent of Police, Anti Narcotics Cell, Panaji who address the very important issue - Drug Abuse, which continues to be a serious challenge for society, especially among the youth . And Past District Governor Lion Vasudev Valawalkar, who spoke on Leadership and Motivation. The objective of program is to promote youth empowerment, foster leadership skills, and openly discuss the challenges faced by our young generation. It was a good interactive session. Total 350 students took advantage of this program. 8 Lions members from our club were present for this program.
