As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

How to prepare ourselves to face exams confidently
Lions Club of Colva organized a talk for class 10th of Infant jesus High School - Colva. the topic was " how to prepare for board exams". DC for UNSDG promotion, Lion Adrian Torres was invited as a key speaker who held 2 hour long session to explain them how to prepare and develop confidence in facing the board exams

International Youth Day celebration
International youth day celebration was held on 12th of August 2025 at Infant Jesus High School- Colva. students of class 10th of the school participated in the event

Weekly Eye Checkup at Candolim Eye Clinic
At the weekly Candolim Eye Clinic, 74 patients were screened out of which 18 cataracts were detected, 7 Retinal issues, 2 pterygium, 2 blood reports and 10 follow up patients were seen.

Child Vision Awareness Month - Sight for Kids
In keeping with the Child Vision Awareness Month, the Lions club of Candolim partnered with the Village Panchayat of Candolim in collaboration with the hon MLA Mr. Michael Lobo and ASG Hospitals to conduct a 4 day Eye Screening Camp for students of St. Theresa's high School. 674 students were screened for vision and refraction. 62 students were identified with refractive errors and will be provided free spectacles.

The BoD and General Body Meeting of Lions Club of Candolim was held on 3rd August 2025. We also celebrated Friendship Day since 3rd August was Friendship Day.

General Body Meeting for the month of Aug 13-08-2025 (1st)
Jamkhandi Lions Club the first general meeting of the month of August was held today, Wednesday, 13-08-2025 at 7-29 pm at SRA Club Jamkhandi. The topics discussed in the meeting are as follows. 1) Regarding the Vachana Shravan program. 2) Regarding the celebration of world organ donation day( 13.08.2025) 3) Regarding the celebration of women's equality day(26.08.2025) 4) Regarding attending the DLLI program in Hubli (13 & 14.08.2025) 5) Regarding attending a second cabinet meeting in Thailand 6) Regarding organizing the BOD of the month of August (24 or 31.08.2025)

Mandatory visit of RC to our Club._
Region Chairperson MJF Lion Rajesh Salehittal visited our Club on 10-08-2025 with Region menter and ZC. RC appreciated the service activities done during the month of July and further guided about new service activities to be organised for the benefit of public. The program was held from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. 23 Lion members attended the programme.

Implementation of Lions Quest SFA Programme_
To implement Lions Quest SFA classes in Dr A V Baliga English Medium School, Kumta, following SFA Books were distributed from 3 pm to 4 pm on 12-08-2025 : 6th standard : 81 books 7th standard : 56 books 8th standard : 43 books Trained Teachers: 6 sets, each set of 4 books. Procedure for implementing and reporting SFA Programme to concerned authorities with documents and photos was explained to Trained teachers and advise was given to school students by Past District Quest Coordinarltor MJF Lion Dr.A V Shanbhag, President MJF Lion Jeevottam Nayak and RC, MJF Lion Rajesh Salehittal. 180 students, Headmistress & 6 teachers with School Management Vice President, Secretary and 5 Lion members attended the programme.
