As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

ATTENDANCE IN STATE LEVEL QUIZ COMPETITION FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN BY LIONS CLUB SIRSI
Lions Club Sirsi, in association with the Karnataka State Teacher Sahaya Vani Kendra, organised a State-Level Quiz Competition for school children on the theme “Indian Patriotism.” More than 500 students enthusiastically participated in the competition. On this occasion, ex-servicemen were felicitated, and the renowned youth speaker, Kumari Harika Manjunath from Bangalore, delivered a keynote address on the theme of patriotism. A special exhibition of postal stamps on the Indian Armed Forces was also arranged as part of the event. I actively participated in all these programs in my capacity as Zone Chairperson.

On 8th August 2025 RC MJF Lion Murtaza Matheranwala made a official visit to Lions Club of Mapusa Elite BOD meeting and presented the 6 new members with certificates and pins (Lions Kit). RC also presented the club members with the Golden club shield and certificate. RC also presented 4 out of 6 new MJFs with the Plague and certificates (2 new MJFs Plague yet to receive)
