As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Activity - wise Report Synopsis on District Portal

The following activities conducted by the Lions Club of Candolim were reported on the District Portal: 2nd February - Under the "Mission Vision Candolim" 28 patients were screened free of cost at our permanent project, "The Candolim Eye Clinic" in association with the Honourable MLA Mr. Michael Lobo and Village Panchayat of Candolim. Cataracts detected 2, No retinal disorders, Pterygium 0, 6 blood reports and 8 follow ups were diagnosed. 9th February: Under the "Mission Vision Candolim" 14 patients were screened free of cost at our permanent project, "The Candolim Eye Clinic" in association with the Honorable MLA Mr. Michael Lobo and Village Panchayat of Candolim. Cataracts detected 1, No retinal disorders, Pterygium 0, 3 blood reports and 6 follow ups were diagnosed. 12th February: The Lions Club of Candolim conducted a Hunger Relief programme for the residents of Gomantak Mahila Ashram run by Gomantak Lokseva Trust, Anjuna. 25 residents of the Ashram were served lunch which was sponsored by MJF Lion Sneha Chorge on the occasion of her birthday. 16th February: Under the "Mission Vision Candolim" 19 patients were screened free of cost at our permanent project, "The Candolim Eye Clinic" in association with the Honorable MLA Mr. Michael Lobo and Village Panchayat of Candolim. Cataracts detected 2, No retinal disorders, Pterygium 0, 6 blood reports and 8 follow ups were diagnosed. 22nd February: A fowler bed from the Orthopaedic Bank of the Lions Club of Candolim was lent to the family of Mr. V Rivonkar for the use of his wife Shrimati V Rivonkar who is suffering from cancer. 22nd February: The Lions Club of Candolim celebrated Past District Governors' Month to honour the Legacy of Leadership and Service of the Past District Governors. The Past Multiple Chairperson PMJF Lion Agnelo Alcasoas was the Guest of Honour for the Programme. PMCC PMJF Lion Agnelo Alcasoas, Past District Governor PMJF Lion Erle Brito and Past District Governor PMJF Lion Dominic Rodrigues spoke on the this occasion. Seven Past District Governors attended the programme and each one of them was felicitated with a shawl and memento. The programme ended with fellowship and lunch. 23rd February: The Lions Club of Candolim donated Sports Jerseys to needy football players from Candolim. The jerseys were donated to talented football players who were unable to afford the cost of the jerseys. Donation of these jerseys will help the talented boys to pursue their passion. 26th February: The lions Club of Candolim donated one month's groceries to the family of Mrs Shakuntala Kubal from Ximer in Candolim. Through this initiative we intend to provide nutritious food to underprivileged families in Candolim. Club participated in carnival float parade at Margao

On Sunday 15th Feb 2026 our club participated in the carnival float parade at Margao Goa organised by the directorate of tourism department.This is the Fourth year club is participating in the carnival float parade.This year our float theme was DIFFERENT FAITH ONE HUMANITY. Our district governor pmjf lion JaiAmol Naik flagged off the parade. PMJF lion kirti Naik district cabinet secretary was also present for the program. Carnival float parade was also attended by Region chairman Lion Dharmu Raut desai and zone chairman lion Gaurish vernekar. Many lion members from various clubs were present for the program. PMJF lion joaquim Gonsalves DC for goan festival took all the initiative in arranging the carnival float parade. Our float begged the consolation prize in the category of club and institutions.
