As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Cancer Awareness Program
My home arranged Breast Cancer Awareness Program for Garment Workers at Holangadde. Lion Dr G G Hegde explained neatly regarding the cancer and the treatment. He also stressed on early detection of cancer . More than40 garment workers benefitted. I participated in the program

Lions Global Hunger Week 2nd Day. Lions Global Hunger Week on 2nd day, The Lions Club of Canacona and Leo Club of Canacona distributed fruits packet to 25 patients at Community Health Centre, Canacona Goa on 04th January 26, at 3: pm to 4:pm., in the presence of Regional Chairperson Lion Dharmu Raut Dessai, and Doctors of the Health Centre. 15 Lions members and 10 Leo members spend 1 hrs. and Rs. 15000/- to success this programme.

Clubs Annadasoh (26th Hunger Relief Activity) was carried out near District Hospital, Belgaum. More than 200 people were provided with steaming hot rice pulao. It was sponsored by Lions Club of Belgaum.

Felicitation of Meritorious Students
On 31st December during Charter Nite and District Governor Visit Lions Club of Sankhali felicitated 3 meritorious students for their excellence in bechalors and masters degree at the hands of Honorable Chief minister of Goa as a special invitee MJF Ln Dr. Pramod Sawant at La Tara Open Air Venue Sankhali Goa.

Conducted Special Board Of Directors Meeting during District Governor Visit
Special Board of Directors Meeting of Lions Club of Sankhali was called with the District Governor PMJF Lion JaiAmol Naik, District Cabinate Secretary PMJF Lion Kirti Naik, District Cabinate Treasurer MJF Lion Rahul Verenkar, Region Chairperson PMJF Lion Prashant Chanekar, Zone Chairperson Lion Sachin Patil on 31st December 2025 at La Tara Open Air Venue, Sankhali Goa. Total of 27 members attended the meeting.

PROVIDED FOOD GRAIN KIT TO SPECIAL SCHOOL CHILDREN.
THE CHILDREN OF SNEHA SPECIAL SCHOOL B HATKAL WERE PROVIDED WITH ENOUGH FOOD GRAINS FOR ABOUT 15 DAYS UNDER THE RELEIVING THE HUNGER PROGRAM. 26KG RICE BAG, 5KG TOOR DAAL, 5KG MOONG DAAL, 5KG WHITE LOBIA, 5KG CHAANA DAAL, 5KG SUGAR, 2KG TEA POWDER, 10 PACKETS PAPAD AND 10 KG JAGGARY DISTRIBUTED.
