As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

CLUB MEETING
CLUB MEETING OF DECEMBER MONTH WAS HELD ON 30/12/2025. TOTAL 32 MEMBERS PARTICIPATED ALONG WITH ZONE CHAIRPERSON, DISTRICT GLT COORDINATOR AND DCs FROM OUR CLUB. ACTIVITIES OF DECEMBER MONTH REPORTED BY SECRETARY LION MANOHAR MALMANE. THANKS, GIVEN TO THE MEMBERS WHO CONTRIBUTED TO OUR FUNDRAISER PROGRAM GANASUDHE AND TO THE MEMBERS WHO VOLUNTEERED THEIR SERVICES IN THE EVENT. BY THE PRESIDENT LION GURURAJ HONAVAR.

Diabetes Detecting & Awareness Program
The program aimed to create awareness about diabetes, its early detection, prevention, and management. Free blood sugar tests were conducted for the general public, especially senior citizens and high-risk individuals. Doctors and healthcare professionals guided the beneficiaries on healthy lifestyle practices, balanced diet, regular exercise, and the importance of timely medical check-ups. Members of Lions Club actively participated in coordinating the screening, assisting patients, and ensuring smooth conduct of the program. A good number of people benefited from the free testing and counseling session. The program was well appreciated by the public and medical staff, reflecting Lions Club of Gadag Betageriās strong commitment to community health service and social responsibility.

HYPERTENSION detecting & awareness program
The program focused on early detection and awareness of high blood pressure and its impact on overall health. Free blood pressure screening was provided to patients and visitors. Medical professionals educated participants on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and management of hypertension, emphasizing the importance of regular monitoring, stress control, healthy diet, and physical activity. Members of the Lions Club actively supported the medical team by coordinating the screening process and interacting with beneficiaries. The program witnessed good participation, especially among senior citizens, and many benefited from timely guidance and health counseling. The initiative was well received by the public and healthcare staff, reinforcing Lions Club of Gadag Betageriās dedication to promoting preventive healthcare and community well-being.
