As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

LC Avedem Paroda organized cancer detection camp " Swasth Mahila Swasth Goa" for the ladies. the camp was conducted in association with the Yuvraj Sing foundation and Govt of Goa. toal 50 ladies were examined by the doctors.

The Board of Directors meeting for December 2025 was hosted by Lion MJF Ujwala More and Lion Abhijeet P. P. at Woodland Hotel, Margao. Key discussions included preparations for the upcoming DG Visit, planning responsibilities, and coordination requirements. The board also reviewed the Annual Fundraiser Program scheduled for January 26, along with proposals for future fundraising initiatives and donation activities planned for the year 2026. The meeting focused on strengthening club operations and ensuring impactful service projects in the year ahead.

Celebration of 19th Dec 2025 Goa Liberation Day @ Govt Primary School Fatorda
Lions Club of Margao proudly celebrated Goa Liberation Day on 19th December 2025 at the Government Primary School, Fatorda. The program was held in the school premises in the presence of the teaching staff and enthusiastic students. The national flag was hoisted with dignity and patriotic spirit, followed by a brief interaction with the children. As part of the club’s commitment to education and community welfare, refreshments were distributed to all students and staff. The club also donated drawing books and essential school supplies, encouraging creativity and supporting the academic needs of the young learners. The event reflected the club’s ongoing dedication to nurturing young minds and strengthening community bonds.

Visit to LC Margao Central.
Brief report of RC visit to Lions Club of Margao Central. Region chairman Lion Dharmu Raut Dessai Called a meeting of Members of LC Margao Central on 28/12/2025 at 3:30 pm Cavelosim Margao Goa. All members attended the meeting. club is having 5 MJF among total 9 regular members. During interaction with all members RC noted a sense of dissatisfaction and demoralization among members largely due to departure of few members to neighboring club. key issues were raised and discussed – 1. Members shifting to other club . 2. Report of activities. 3. Low Morale. 4. Membership extension and fee dues. 5. Activities reporting on portal. 6. Future activities. Each member poured out their feelings honestly. RC patiently listened and encouraged every member to talk. At the end RC delivered motivational talk, urging every member to continue serving the community with zeal and enthusiasm with an aim to serve people in need. Members whole heartedly appreciated RC’s efforts to interact with all members. Club instantly paid district dues. International lions portal shows credit balance of 21.22 US dollars against LC Margao Central. Due to some technical issues, club is not able to report on portal. RC will look into the matter and try to solve it as soon as possible. LC Margao Central has carried out no of activities. To name a few – 1. Mental health and wellbeing. 2. Financial help to underprivileged students. 3. Felicitations of top ranker students from surrounding schools. 4. Felicitations of Individuals for outstanding social service. 5. Felicitations of retired teachers for outstanding service. 6. Tree plantation. 7. Relieving the hunger program. Members are attending district and other club functions regularly. RC appreciated the activities carried out and promised help in improving reporting and strengthening club operations. Later RC joined all the members for dinner and fellowship aboard the cruise boat. All members left the meeting re-energized and committed to move forward together by adding more members.

District level Cristmas celebrations.
Attended district level Christmas celebrations organized by LC Salcete and PMJF Lion Joquem Gonsalves on 25/12/2025 from 10 am onwards at Varca Goa. Cief guest for the function was PMJF Lion Sudesh Borkar VDG II. Food grains, vegetables, grocery items and warm clothes were distributed to the underprivilege people.
