As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Lions Premier Cup

Inter School Cricket Tournament was conducted by Lions Club Gadag - Betgeri. Three School participated the league. the Winners were St. John School Gadag and the Runner Up were Lions School. All participants were awarded with the certificate and winner and runner up were given the Cup. Best Batsmen, Best Bowler and Man of Match was Given. Ln. Gautam Gaddi was the Chairperson of the Event. All the Lions Members attend the League to support the Teams.

Nirmala tungabhadra Abhiyana-Nirmala Tungabhadra campaign

Lions club Gangavathi President Ln.Dr.Shivakumar malipatil in association with other organizations , coordinated Nirmala tungabhadra Campaign , Megha padayatra,walkthan from Gangavathi to Mantralayam 160 km to create awareness in public about cleanliness of Tungabhadra River. Netaji subhash Chandra Bose Grand daughter Smt.Rajashree Choudari , Inaugurated the megha Campaign in Gangavathi.

Eye Donation

The Lions Club of Gadag Betgeri conducted an Eye Donation activity as part of its ongoing humanitarian initiatives. The program was held on 2nd December 2025, between 11:30 PM to 3rd December 2025 01:00 PM, and marked a noble contribution to society by supporting eye donation to help restore vision for those in need. The eye donation was done in memory of Smt. Laxmamma R Patil Age: 95 , Ward no 35, Opp. M M College, Kalasapur road, Gadag . Her family generously came forward to fulfill her wish of donating her eyes, setting a remarkable example of compassion and social responsibility. Members of the Lions Club, along with medical personnel, visited the residence to coordinate and carry out the eye donation procedure. The team ensured that all formalities and medical protocols were smoothly completed. The presence of Lions Club volunteers in their signature yellow vests highlighted their commitment to serving the community with dedication. During the program, club members expressed their gratitude to the family for their meaningful gesture, acknowledging that such donations play a crucial role in transforming lives. The medical team also shared insights about the importance of eye donation and how one donor can illuminate the world for two visually impaired individuals. The Eye Donation activity concluded with heartfelt respect to the donor and appreciation for the family’s humanitarian decision. The initiative reinforced the Lions Club’s mission of service and awareness, encouraging more people to pledge for eye donation.

Lions Club of Candolim Celebrate Goa Liberation Day, with Flag Hoisting and Community Spirit.

The Lions Club of Candolim celebrated Goa Liberation Day with the members of the Village Panchayat of Candolim. The Sarpanch of the Village Panchayat of Candolim Lion Blaize Fernandes hoisted the National flag after which the National Anthem was sung. The Chief Guest spoke on the importance of the Goa Liberation Day and the martyrs who sacrificed their life to attain liberation from the Portuguese. Present on the occasion were the ward members and staff of the village Panchayat of Candolim, the President, Secretary, treasurer and other members of the Lions Club of Candolim as well as the General public.

Donation of clothes to economically weak children in Candolim.

In keeping with the true spirit of Christmas the Lions Club of Candolim organized its second Christmas activity - A clothes distribution programme for the children of economically weaker sections of Candolim. The initiative aimed at spreading joy, warmth and goodwill during the festive season and also reaffirmed the commitment of the Lions Club of Candolim to serving society and supporting those in need.
