As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

MJF contribution
n my request, Lion Prathibha Hegde, member of Lions Club Sirsi, contributed Rs. 10,000/- towards MJF contribution. She had promised to pay the remaining amount in near future.

Attended the Food kit distribution programme
On 23-12-2025 Lions Club of Kumta distributed flood relief food packets to 25 families affected by flood. They had received emergency grant from Lions Club International. It was initiated to function. Past District Governor and Chairperson MJF Lion Mangala Nayak were present. It was a very systematic and useful activity.

Attended in Inter District Club Twinning
Attended the inter district club twinning. LC Siddapur and LC Sagar organised the twinning programe along with service activities and distributed 40 blankets to school children

Participation in Eye checkup camp
On 13-12-2025, Lions club of Honavar conducted the Eye screening and cataract operation camp at Shridevi hospital Honavar. 76 patients were screened and 20 were selected for operation. Operation was done at Revankar charitable Hospital, Kumta

On 22-12-2025 , I had attender the Annual Day function of Lions Club, Sirsi . MJF Lion S.T. Kairanna was the inaugurator and the main speaker of the day. More than 2500 people from public were present. The entertainment programme was very good. More than 50 Lions were present in the function.

Eye checkup camp
On 21-12-2025,Lions Club of Murdeshwar conducted eye check-up and free operation camp at Kharwa village in collaboration with Prasad Netralaya, Udupi. 65 patients were checked and 10 persons were operated after medical advice. I had the honour to participate in the camp. On the count of Lions in the inaugural function. It was a very need-based health activity rendered to the village people. It was very good programme.
