Special Initiative: Weeks of service
As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Multiple Events Celebration
Lions School, Hosapete celebrated Multiple Day Celebration with great enthusiasm and educational spirit, organized by the Lions Club of Hospet. The programme was conducted to provide students with meaningful learning experiences by combining various theme-based days into a single celebration. As part of the celebration, the following days were observed: Colour Day (Purple – Lavender Flower), Indian Army Day, Animal Day (Monkey), National Farmers Day, and Bird Day (Peacock). Students from the Pre Primary section actively participated in the event with great excitement. The children came dressed in colourful and theme-based costumes and confidently spoke a few lines explaining the importance of each day. Through Colour Day, students learned about colours and flowers; Indian Army Day helped instill respect and patriotism towards our brave soldiers; Animal Day and Bird Day created awareness about wildlife and the need to protect animals and birds; and National Farmers Day taught students to value the hard work of farmers who feed the nation. The event was well coordinated by the teachers with the support and encouragement of the Lions Club of Hospet. All students were distributed sweets, adding joy to the celebration. The Multiple Day Celebration was a grand success and served as an effective platform to nurture confidence, creativity, awareness, and moral values among students in a joyful and engaging manner.
