Special Initiative: Weeks of service
As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Mental wellness awareness program
The Mental Health Wellness Program and Annadashoha Program was organised on 26th November 2025 at Annadashoha, old age home, Sanakinkoppa, Dharwad. Dr.Girish Babu Nanjundappa spoke on Mental Health Wellness, Smt.Poornima Gambhir sponsored Annadashoha and Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Shaila Karagudari sponsored fruits and sweets. 43 senior citizens were benefitted by this programm, 10 Lion members participated in this program.

World Diabetes day
World Diabetes Day was celebrated on 26th November 2025, Dr.Raksha Palled was the Chief Guest. 25 Lion member were present.

Hunger Relief
he Hunger Relief Program was organized on 3rd November 2025 by Lions Club of Dharwad in association with Ningamma Hugar Education and Research Trust. Our District Governor PMJF JaiAmol Naik and District Cabinet Secretary PMJF Dr.Kirti Naik inagurated the program. Hubli-Dharwad Mayor Jyoti Patil was Chief Guest. PDG MJF Harsh Desai, Zone Chairperson MJF Shaila Karagudari, President Lion Ashwin Koppikar, Secretary MJF, Lion Suresh Gudaganavar Treasurer Lion Shrikant Devagiri, Ningamma Hugar Patil Trust Chairman, MJF Lion Namarata Patil, Vidyagiri PSI Mallikarjuna Hosur and 15 Lion Members were present. In this program more than 850 students were served with food. DG PMJF JaiAmol Naik donated Rs. 5000 for this Hunger relief Program.

Special BOD with DG
The Special BOD meeting was held on 3rd November at Mandar Regency Hotel Dharwad at 5.45 p.m. In this meeting District Governor PMJF Lion JaiAmol Naik appreciated the social and humanitarian activities done by Lions Club of Dharwad in this four months July to October-2025. Also guided the further activities to be done according to the International Objectives. 20 Lion Members were present.

DG official visit
District Governor official visit was organized on 3rd November 2025 at Rangayana Dharwad at 6.45pm on this occassion three new members were inducted by District Governor PMJF Lion JaiAmol Naik. Dwarawatika Lions Bullettin was released by District Governor PMJF Lion JaiAmol Naik. Event Chairperson Lion Mukund Heblikar, PDG MJF Lion Harsh Desai, ZC MJF Lion Shaila Karagudari, President Lion Ashwin Koppikar, Secreatary MJF Lion Suresh Gudaganavar,The 60th Charter Nite of Lions Club of Dharwad was celebrated on 3rd November 2025 in the presence of District Governor and MJF Lion Harsh Desai, Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Shaila Karagudari, President, Secretary Treasurer and all the 48 Lion members participated in the celebration. On this occasion Past Presidents, Melvin Jones Fellows and Media Friends were honored. Certificates to the winners of Peace Poster Competition were presented. The art exhibition arranged by Lion Amrata Joshi was participated by the District Governor Treasurer Lion Shrikant Devagiri, Lion Neeta Koppikar and 48 members were present on the occasion.
