As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

IMPORTANCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) IN EDUCATION
Lions Club Of Mapuca along with Assagao Union High School conducted a educative session on "IMPORTANCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) IN EDUCATION". It was for the 10th standard students . Key not speaker cum Educator was Atharv Vernekar. ( M.TECH STUDENT, AT PCC COLLEGE, VERNA.). School Teachers also attended the function. New experiance for the staudent & teachers.

BEACH/SURROUNDING AREA CLEANLINESS DRIVE
I MJF Lion Goculdas Nagvenkar attended the Beach/Surrounding Area cleanliness drive on Sunday the 17th November, 2025 at Chapora/Vagator Beach. The activity was arranged by Lions Club Of Mapuca along with Anubhuthi foundation, Scouts & guides students/teachers of Assagao Union High School and staff of DMC College, Mapusa. BRAIN DEATH AND ORGAN DONATION
I MJF Lion Goculdas Nagvenkar attended the session on Brain Death and Organ Donation . It was organized by Lions Club Of Mapuca in collaboration with Mohan foundation. Key note speaker was Gabrial Pereira. Students of Standard 8th to 10th from Assagon Union HIgh School attended. It was very very informative. School teachers also attended the session.

Medical Chechup Camp.
On International Lions Day Lions Club of Canacona and Leo Club of Canacona organized a Medical Checkup camp at Senior Citizen old age home at Mastimol Canacona on 25/11/2025 at 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm Total 15 Patient and 2 Staff members were examined and distributed Medicine and Tonic to the Patient. Total 25 Lions Members spend 2 hrs and Rs. 20,000/- to Success this Programme.

DISTRICT GOVENORS 2ND ZONE ADVISORY MEETING
I MJF Lion Goculdas Nagvenkar attended the second zone advisory meeting on 12th November, 2025. It was Hoisted by Lions club of Mapusa Elite. I attended the same as Dc and also as the Key note speaker on MISSION 1.5. This was at the request of Zone Chairperson MJF LIon Sudesh KOchrenkar.

Visit to Lions Club Banavasi Along with DG & MCC (14-11-2025)
On 14-11-2025, I had the privilege of accompanying District Governor MJF Lion Jaimol Naik and Multiple Council Chairperson MJF Lion Mohan Kumar during their official visit to Lions Club Banavasi. The programme began with a visit to the ancient and historic Madhukeshwara Temple, Banavasi, where prayers were offered. Later, an interaction was held with the members of Lions Club Banavasi, discussing Mission 1.5, future plans of action for the club and ideas for establishing a permanent service project in the region. As Zone Chairperson (ZC), I actively participated in the visit, discussions and proceedings throughout the programme.

As ZC, I Participated in Children’s Day Celebration Organised by Lions Club of Sirsi
On 14-11-2025, Children’s Day was joyfully celebrated at Sirsi Lions School. District Governor MJF Lion Jaimol Naik and Multiple Council Chairperson MJF Lion Mohan Kumar graced the occasion as chief guests. Members of Lions Club Sirsi and Sirsi Lions Education Society were also present. Sweets were distributed to the children, and the students presented various cultural performances, making the celebration lively and memorable. As Zone Chairperson, I also participated in the programme, marking my presence and support for this meaningful celebration dedicated to children.

Proudly Participated as ZC – Lions Club Sirsi Diabetic Awareness Walkathon
On 14-11-2025, Lions Club Sirsi organised a 5 km Diabetic Awareness Strides Walkathon for the general public, starting from Lions Circle, Sirsi and concluding at Goudalli Village. More than 150 participants, including doctors, members of the Rotary Club, club members and the general public, enthusiastically took part in the event. The walkathon was flagged off by District Governor MJF Lion Jaimol Naik and District Cabinet Secretary MJF Lion Kirti Naik. At the closing point, a prize distribution ceremony was held, where Dist. Governor and Multiple Chairperson MJF Lion Mohan Kumar presented certificates to all participants and prizes to the winners of the walkathon. Later, Rotarian Dr. Dinesh Hegde addressed the gathering and delivered an informative talk on diabetes awareness. Breakfast was arranged for all participants, and the public appreciated Lions Club Sirsi for organising such a meaningful and impactful programme. As Zone Chairperson (ZC), I also actively participated in the walkathon. District Chairperson for Diabetes Awareness was also present during the programme.
