Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Traffic Police Booth

On 14-11-2025, I visited Lions Club of Sirsi. It was an event in which Lions Club of Sirsi contributed a Traffic Police Booth in the centre place of Sirsi. It was very much needed for the smooth movement of traffic. It has enhanced the beauty of the city and earned appreciation from public and the Police Department. It will be used as a tool to create awareness among the public. I was invited as one of the guests and I place on record that it was one of the unique programmes in my Region. It was attended by the District Governor and DYSP P. Geeta Patil.
