As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Free Eye Screening Camp at Muttur Village.
Free Eye Testing Camp at Muttur Location: Mahalakshmi Temple Premises, Muttur Date: March 27, 2026 Organized By: Lions Club of Jamkhandi (Dist. 317 B, Region 11, Zone 3) In Collaboration With: M.M. Joshi Eye Institute, Jamkhandi The Lions Club of Jamkhandi, continuing its mission of "We Serve," successfully conducted a Free Eye Testing Camp on March 27, 2026, at the Mahalakshmi Temple premises in Muttur. Organized in association with the renowned M.M. Joshi Eye Institute, the program aimed to provide essential eye care services to the local community, particularly those in underserved areas. Expert Screenings: A team of specialized ophthalmologists and medical staff from M.M. Joshi Eye Institute provided comprehensive eye examinations. The event saw a tremendous response, with a large number of local residents and people from surrounding areas attending the camp to prioritize their vision health. Services Provided: Participants underwent professional vision testing and were screened for common conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and refractive errors.Guidance & Referrals: Those diagnosed with advanced vision issues were provided with expert consultations and referrals for further specialized treatment.Leadership & Acknowledgments The program was successfully executed under the dedicated leadership of the club's office bearers: Ln. Dr. M.P. Thanappagol (President) Ln. Er. Anand Chougale (Secretary) Ln. Ramesh Kori (Treasurer) The Lions Club of Jamkhandi extends its heartfelt gratitude to the medical team at M.M. Joshi Eye Institute and the local volunteers whose tireless efforts ensured the smooth and successful completion of this humanitarian initiative. The camp was a resounding success, fulfilling its objective of raising eye health awareness and making quality eye care accessible to all. The Lions Club remains committed to organizing similar community welfare programs in the future to build a healthier and more informed society.

Distribution of Sanitary Pads
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a series of service activities were organized and executed under Lions Club initiatives. The entire expenditure for the programmes was personally borne by me as part of the Club’s service commitment. Date: 13 March 2026 Location: Government High School, Prabhat Nagar, Honnavar A total of 110 girl students were provided with sanitary pads. Total Expenditure: Rs. 4,400/-

Mental Health & Well-Being Seminar and Food Distribution Overview Event Name: Seminar on Mental Health & Well-Being Organized By: Lions Club of Jamkhandi (Dist. 317-B, Region-11, Zone-3) Date: March 27, 2026 Time: 9:15 a.m. Venue: Government Hospital, Jamkhandi Chief Guest/Speaker: Dr. Krishna Bannad. The Lions Club of Jamkhandi successfully organized a special community outreach program at the Government Hospital, Jamkhandi, today. The event focused on the critical theme of "Mental Health & Well-Being," aiming to raise awareness about emotional balance and mental wellness among patients and the general public. The program was met with an overwhelming response and concluded with a charitable food distribution drive. by Dr. Krishna Bannad and was an insightful talk delivered by Dr. Krishna Bannad. The session focused on: The fundamental importance of mental wellness in daily life. Practical strategies for maintaining emotional balance. Destigmatizing mental health issues within the community. This initiative ensured that the event provided both mental and physical nourishment to those in need. The program was conducted under the leadership of the club's executive officers: L.n. Dr. M.P. Tanappagol (President) L.n. Er. Anand Chougale (Secretary) L.n. Ramesh Kori (Treasurer) The event saw active participation from club members, hospital staff, and the local community, making it a significant success in promoting health, care, and compassion. The Lions Club of Jamkhandi continues its commitment to community service through such meaningful initiatives. The success of today’s program reinforces the club's dedication to improving the holistic well-being of the residents of Jamkhandi.
