As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Diabetes Awareness Programme - 27.03.26
Diabetes Awareness Programme at Jamkhandi Organization: Lions Club of Jamkhandi (Dist. 317-B, Region-11, Zone-3) In Association With: Indian Medical Association (IMA) Date: March 27, 2026 Venue: Government Hospital, Jamkhandi. The Lions Club of Jamkhandi, in a successful collaboration with the Indian Medical Association, conducted a comprehensive Diabetes Awareness Programme today at the Government Hospital, Jamkhandi. The event aimed to educate the public on the rising prevalence of diabetes and the importance of early detection and lifestyle management. The event commenced at 08:15 AM and saw an overwhelming response from the local community. Key features of the program included. The initiative was held under the esteemed guidance of Nadoj. MJF. Dr. H.G. Daddi, a renowned Cardiologist, who served as the Chief Guest. Public Screening: Free blood glucose monitoring was provided to attendees to encourage early diagnosis.Educational Session: Dr. Daddi delivered an insightful keynote on the link between diabetes and cardiovascular health, emphasizing preventive care. Leadership Presence The program was successfully executed under the leadership of the Lions Club of Jamkhandi's executive officers: President: L.n. Dr. M.P. Tanappagol Secretary: L.n. Er. Anand Chougale Treasurer: L.n. Ramesh Kori The program concluded with a high turnout, successfully raising significant awareness regarding diabetes management. The Lions Club of Jamkhandi remains committed to its mission of community health and service, thanking the Government Hospital staff and the IMA for their unwavering support.

General Body Meeting for the month of Mar 25-03-2026 (2nd)
The second general meeting of the month of March has been held on Wednesday, 25-03-2026 at 7-28 pm at SRA Club Jamkhandi. The topics to be discussed in the meeting are as follows. 1) About the program of conducting eye check-up and surgery in collaboration with BLDE College and M. M. Joshi Eye Institute and about printing a brochure. 2) About distributing free glasses 3) About organizing Annadasoha for the month of March. 4) About conducting Dental Health Check-up (Dr. Manjunath Malgan) in collaboration with N.S.S Camp on 29.03.2026. 5) About organizing a diabetes check-up and lecture program at N.S.S Camp by Dr. Daddi. 6) About receiving prizes for participating in R.C meet (22.03.2026). 7) Regarding organizing a lecture program on mental health or diabetes awareness along with food and nutrition awareness.
