As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

3rd District Cabinet meeting
Lion Sushant Pokle, GMTC alongwith 3 other Cabinet members from Lions Club of Sankhali attended 3rd Cabinet meeting on 10th January 2026 at Panchayat Hall, Nagoa, Goa. During the meeting I presented the report as global membership team coordinator. Also presented the brief presentation on hosting of Annual District Convention by Lions Club of Sankhali.

On 10th January GMTc MJF Ln Sushant Pokle, attended 3rd District Cabinet Meeting at Panchayat Hall, Nagoa Goa. MJF Ln Sushant Pokle presented GMT Report during the meeting. Also presented brief proposal of hosting District Convention.

Nutritional Awareness Talk
Under Global Hunger Week, Lions club of Sankhali in association with Government Higher Secondary School, Sankhali, organised Nutritional Awareness Talk for Higher secondery students. Talk was delivered by esteemed resource person Dr Sameera Falari, BAMS, MSc ( yoga) Functional Nutritional health and Wellness consultant. Wonderful, informative and enlightening talk was delivered covering almost all aspects of nutrition. Total of 4 Lion members were present for the session. Around 85 students benefitted from the session.

Blood Donation Camp
With the objective of "Donate blood,save life" ,our club in association with Lifeline Foundation ,on 5 th January 2026, conducted blood donation camp at Ponda Envocare Ltd, Pissurlem Industrial Estate, Pissurlem Goa. Total 35 Donors participated in this camp and 27 blood units collected. Refreshments were provided for the Donors, Doctors and Nurses present. Around 6 lion members were present for the drive . Project chairperson was Ln. Rohan Savaikar.

Attended Computer Literacy, Robotics Technology & AI Awareness Programme by Lions Club Sirsi
Lions Club Sirsi conducted a Computer Literacy, Robotics Technology & AI awareness programme for Lions School students, in association with Yuvi Pepe Institution, Mysore. Members of Leo Club Sirsi and Leo Club Sriniketan actively participated and supported the programme. As Zone Chairperson (ZC), I also attended the programme. The programme helped students understand the importance of computer literacy, robotics, and artificial intelligence in today’s world. It created interest in modern technology, improved logical thinking and problem-solving skills, and motivated students to learn new digital skills, thereby preparing them for future education and career opportunities.
