As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Childhood Cancer Awareness program at B.L.D.E School.
Title: Awareness Program on Childhood Cancer Organized by: Lions Club of Jamkhandi (Dist. 317-B, Region-11, Zone-3) Date: 20th March 2026 Time: 10:30 AM Venue: B.L.D.E School, Jamkhandi 1. Executive Summary The Lions Club of Jamkhandi successfully organized an educational talk on "Childhood Cancer Awareness" aimed at primary school students. The initiative was designed to foster a healthier future generation by educating children and staff on the importance of early health intervention and the value of compassionate support for those affected. 2. Key Participants & Guests Resource Person: Nadoj. MJF Dr. Daddi Presiding Official: Smt. Kalavati B. Yadav (Principal, Banashankari Boys Kannada Model Primary School) Lions Club Leadership: L.n. Dr. M.P. Tanappagol (President) L.n. Er. Anand Chougale (Secretary) L.n. Ramesh Kori (Treasurer) 3. Session Highlights The keynote speaker, Dr. Daddi, delivered an interactive session tailored for young students. The talk focused on: Simplifying Health Awareness: Explaining health and illness in a manner easy for children to understand. Early Detection: The importance of paying attention to persistent health changes and seeking early medical advice. Compassion and Empathy: Encouraging students to provide emotional support and kindness to peers who may be facing health challenges. 4. Outcome The program successfully reached the student body of the Government Banashankari Boys Kannada Model Primary School. By the end of the session, students demonstrated an increased understanding of health awareness and the significance of the "Gold Ribbon" (the international symbol for childhood cancer). 5. Conclusion This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of the Lions Club of Jamkhandi to community health and nurturing a more aware and supportive society. We extend our gratitude to the school administration and Dr. Daddi for their invaluable contribution to this cause.

DISTRIBUTED FOOD ITEMS AND PLAY MATERIALS TO SPECIAL SCHOOL CHILDREN.
UNDER THE "RELEIVING THE HUNGER" PROGRAM OUR CLUB LED BY RC RAJESH SALEHITTAL ORGANIZES A CHARITABLE INITIATIVE AT SNEHA SPECIAL SCHOOL IN BHATKAL. AS PART OF THIS EFFORT, FOOD GRAINS AND SPORTS EQUIPMENT WERE DISTRIBUTED TO THE STUDENTS, SUPPORTING THEIR NUTRITION, PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT AND OVERALL WELL-BEING.

ON THE OCCASION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY, OUR CLUB , UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF RC RAJESH SALEHITTAL, ORGANIZED MEANINGFUL INITIATIVE AT THE GOVT HIGH SCHOOL BAILUR. AS PART OF THIS PROGRAM FREE SANITARY PADS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO THE GRIL STUDENTS, PROMOTING AWARENESS ABOUT MENSTRUAL HYGIENE AND SUPPORTING THEIR HEALTH AND WEL-BEING.
