As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

DG's ZONE ADVISORY 3RD MEETING OF ZONE 1 OF REGION 12 WAS ORGANISED AT BANAVASI UNDER LEADERSHIP OF ZONE CHAIRPERSON MJF LION VINAY G HEGDE. 6 LIONS FROM OUR CLUB PARTICIPATED IN THE MEETING. LION SANTOSH HEGDE JOINT SECRETARY PRESENTED REPORT OF LAST QUARTER. PRESIDENT LION GURURAJ HONAVAR PRESENTED FUTURE PLANS OF THE CLUB AND INVITED ALL OTHER CLUB MEMBERS TO THE INNAUGURATION OF NEW HUNGER PROJECT BUILDING AND FOR THE DG VISIT PROGRAM. MJF LION VINAY HEGDE GUIDED ALL TO REPORT IN LIONS PORTAL AND TO PAY 2ND HALF OF INTERNATIONAL DUES. GLT COORDINATOR PMJF LION ASHOK HEGDE WAS THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AND SPOKE ABOUT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENTAND MEMBERSHIP GROWTH THROUGH LEADERSHIP SKILLS. THE MEETING CONCLUDED WITH LUNCH HOSTED BY LIONS CLUB OF BANAVASI.

WOMAN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM IN RURAL AREA
"SASYA SAMRUDDI " A WOMAN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM AND WORKSHOP ON NURCERY PLANTS WAS ORGANISED IN HEBLEMANE AT VANALLI VILLAGE TO EMPOWER WOMEN IN HORTICULTURE AND NURSERY PLANTS BUSINESS. OUR LION LADIES DISTRICT NEW VOICES MEMBER MJF LION PRATIBHA HEGDE PRESIDED OVER THE PROGRAM AND MJF LION SHEETAL SWADI WAS THE KEYNOTE SPEEKER. CLUB WOMAN EMPOWERMENT COORDINATOR LION SUMANGALA HEGDE WAS THE EVENT COORDINATOR. LION JYOTHI ASHWATH LION SHUBHA LION SHANTALA AND LION BINDU HEGDE PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM. A SKIT WAS ALSO PLAYED INTHE PROGRAM TO ENCOURAGE VILLAGE WOMEN TO EMPOWERED WITH SELF-SUFFICIENT LIFE. 60 VILLAAGE WOMEN PARTICIPATED AND GOT BENEFITED.
