As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION IN LIONS SVEM SCHOOL KOPPAL
The Lions SVEM School Koppal celebrated Republic Day at Lions SVEM School Koppal. Various cultural events were presented by students of the school. Prizes were distributed by Lions members to the students won in various competitions. Parents, teaching, nonteaching staff and Lion members were present in the event. Total 455 members were present.

DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISIT AND BOD MEETING
Our beloved District Governor PMJF Lion JaiAmol Naik visited our club along with the cabinet secretary Lion Kirti Naik on 24th January 2026. The DG visited all the permanent projects of Lions Club of Koppal and gave necessary suggestions. An BOD meeting was conducted in the evening and Governor distributed Appreciation letter, pins and other awards to the club and members. Governor suggested the club members to plan activities as per the calendar and also suggested to add memberships and clubs. Total 36 members were present in the BOD meeting along with Region Chairperson.

GOLDEN JUBLIEE CELEBRATION- LIONS CLUB KOPPAL
Lions Club of Koppal was established in the year 1976, and in the same year Lions Swami Vivekananda English Medium School was started. Lions club of Koppal completed 50 years of successful journey in providing various services to society. Lions club of Koppal celebrated its Golden Jubliee Celebration on 24th January 2026. International Director MJF Ln. Pankaj Mehta, MJF Ln. Vamshidhar Babu, MJF Ln. Mohan Kumar, District Governor MJF LN. Jaiamol naik and other guests from Lions Club and Koppal were present. The event was a successful event with more than 1600 people witnessing the grand celebration.

CANCER AWARNESS AND SCREENING CAMP
Lions club of Koppal organized a Cancer Awareness and screening camp at Lions Eye Hospital and Lions Day Care center in association with Inner wheel Club and Jain Mahila Sangh, Koppal. Dr. Santosh Chikkareddy from HCG NMR Cancer Hospital conducted an awareness talk on Breast Cancer and Cervical cancer and their diagnosis and treatment. Free consultation, PAP smear and Mammography was done to the female members present. Total 55 PAP smears and 61 Mammography were conducted.

FOUNDERS DAY CELEBRATION
Lions Club of Koppal celebrated Founders Day, Birthday of Ln. Melvin Jones Sir Birthday by cutting cake and Lions members recited the Re-dedication Pledge. On this occasion, the members distributed fruits, biscuits and food kits to Cataract Operated Patients at Lions Eye Hospital, Koppal, and Total 17 patients were distributed with food kit

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY AND SWAMI VIVEKANADA BIRTHDAY
Students of Lions Swami Vivekananda English Medium school celebrated National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda Birthday by offering flowers to Swami Vivekananda Swami’s picture and took oath as youth to be a responsible citizen of our country and serve the nation. The principal of the school discussed regarding Philosophies and ideals of Swami Vivekananda and an interactive session to the students on how youth are important in building a strong nation was conducted. Total 175 students participated in the event.

HUNGER RELIEF- BREAKFAST TO JATRA DEVOTEES
Lions Club of Koppal distributed Morning breakfast to Gavisiddeshwara Jatra devotees as a part of Hunger Relief Program for 3 days. Overall more than 900 devotees were served for 3 days. Lion’s members and Lions member families were present.
