Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Free health screening & blood donation camp & Organ Donation Awareness Camp

This meaningful initiative was conducted in association with IMA Gadag and A.S.S College of Commerce Gadag, aiming to promote health awareness, encourage voluntary blood donation, and support organ donation awareness among the public. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, Lions members, and the general public. A team of experienced doctors and healthcare professionals carried out general health screenings, including basic check-ups and medical consultations. The camp provided an opportunity for early detection of health issues and guided participants on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A key highlight of the event was the blood donation drive, where many volunteers came forward to donate blood, contributing to saving lives and supporting healthcare needs. Alongside, awareness about organ donation was also created, inspiring people to pledge for this noble cause. The program was conducted smoothly with the active involvement of Lions members and volunteers, ensuring proper coordination and support for all participants. This activity reflects the continued commitment of the Lions Club towards community service, healthcare support, and spreading awareness for a healthier society.
