As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

WORLDWIDE ENVIORNMENT SERVICE WEEK BY LIONS CLUB OF SIRSI. SOLAR POWER UNIT DISTRIBUTION
During the Worldwide Week of Service for Environment, the Lions Club of Sirsi donated a solar power generating unit worth ₹70,000 to Shri Suryanarayana High School, Bisalkoppa, a remote village in need of reliable power for its computer lab. The school has been facing intermittent electricity issues, which affected the teaching of students. This solar unit will effectively address the problem and ensure uninterrupted learning facilities. The unit was formally handed over to the Headmaster on 12/04/2026 during the District Governor’s visit to the club and was subsequently installed on 19/04/2026 during the Environment Week. As the service portal did not accept the date of 19/04/2026, the activity has been reported as on 20/04/2026. I attended the programme in my capacity as Zone Chairperson. This initiative stands out as a meaningful and impactful service activity by the Lions Club of Sirsi.
