As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Career Guidance seminar
Career Guidance. A career guidance talk was successfully conducted on 27th October, 2025 at Damodar High School, Gudi, Paroda, Goa. The Program was conducted by renowned Career Guidance faculty, retired principal of Cuncolin United High School, Mr. Tilroy Fernandes. The Program began with welcome address by the club president Lion Shakuntala Raut Dessai followed by address by RC Lion Dharmu Raut Dessai. Lion Shreenath Kamat presented Bouquets and flowers to the dignitaries present. The faculty motivated students to set goals and pursue career aligned with their interest and strengths with the help of power point presentation. He explained in detail about the opportunities and study avenues available to pursue after passing the S.S.C. examinations. Students participated actively in the program by asking questions. The faculty shared his mobile no. with the students to call him any time in case they have difficulty in choosing the career. Toal 110 students participated. The HM of Damodar high school also spoke on the occasion. The secretary of club lion Anil Sawant Dessai proposed vote of thanks.

Participated an interactive Talk on Mental Wellness in Youth organized by LC of Karwar on 10th October 2025 at Smt. Ramabai Hanumanth Benne English Medium High School, Karwar from 10.00 am to 11.00 am. The Speaker was Dr. Vijayraj N. Mental health and welbeing.
Lions club of Avedem Paroda organized “Mental Health and well-Being” program at the govt high School , Xeldem on 24th October 2025 from 9am onwards. The program was organized to create awareness about mental health and wellbeing in tune with united nations sustainable development goals and supported by Govt of Goa and as adopted by lions International, under the dynamic leadership of district governor PMJF Lion JaiAmol Naik. Students, parents and teachers of Govt High School, Xeldem, Chandranath High School, Assolda and lion members participated in the program. Dr. Nehal Baliga, MBBS, MD (Psychiatry) a distinguished professional from the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behavior was the faculty. Dr. Baliga provided valuable insights into mental health and wellbeing and social issues, challenges related to mental health. He offered practical solutions to tackle these concerns by engaging the audience with actionable advice and awareness with a well prepared power point presentation. He also conducted meditation and breathing exercises by engaging all present. The program commenced with a warm welcome by president of LC Avedm Paroda Lion Mrs. Shakuntala Raut Dessai. Students presented bouquets to the dignitaries. Region II Chairman of lions, Lion Dharmu Raut Dessai, addressed the gathering on the topic” Need to create awareness on mental health”. The program was graced by teachers and HM of Govt High School, Mrs. Vanesa Cardozo. Teacher of C.E.S. High school Mrs. Nidhi Sawant, Secretary and treasurer of LC Avedem Proda. President Lion Shakuntala Raut Dessai presented a memento to Dr. Nehal Baliga. Secretary Lion Anil Sawant proposed vote of thanks. The event was a significant step towards promoting mental health awareness and was a resounding success. Our sincere thanks to Lion Adrian Torris, DC for UN- Goals, for helping us to organize the program.
