As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Republic Day celebration at the school
Lions club of Vasco da Gama celebrated 77th Republic Day at it’s adopted primary Government school in Chicalim. After the flag hoisting children sang patriotic songs followed by Principal Maam and Our Senior member Lion Jashwinder patriotic speech. Snacks were distributed which was sponsored by Lion Jashwinder and Club Secretary Lion Adv. Sunil Loran. Also Gifts were handed over to children where a wish list was fulfilled where they had asked from Santa😊 during Xmas celebration. Gifts were sponsored by Club President Lion Shilpa. Total 26 students recieved the items.

Attended Hunger Week Program by LC Margao Central at LAR LC Margao Central organised visit to LAR shelter for woman , orphanage in Margao. Grocery items were given to the orphanage. Along with the lion members of Margao club

Rice bags distributed to orphanage under Zone 2 activity
Lions club of Vasco Da Gama participated in Zone 2 Activity under Zone chairperson Lion Arnaldo do Rego. Two bags of Rice each were donated to St John by the cross convent at Sacoale and to Asha Sadan Baina on 13th Jan , requesting all the presidents to be at St John Convent Sacoale at 9:30 and there after we will proceed to Baina.

Attended and Spoke on hunger relief activity of LC Gomant Gogal at Matruchaya at Matruchaya Balika Kalyan Ashram at Margao Goa.The District Coordinator for the Hunger Week, Lion Adrian, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Hunger Week, explaining the purpose behind observing it and stressing the importance of collective efforts in combating hunger and caring for the underprivileged. Lion Jennifer also gave a brief overview of the Hunger Week program, sharing insights into the objectives of the initiative and the role played by Lions Clubs in making the program meaningful and impactful.

Our club member MJF Robertina Rodrigues participated and was felicitated during the New Year Celebration-2026 organised by the DG and team on 10th January, 2026 at Island View, Utorda. The event was attaended by over 200 Lions and non Lions from Goa & Karnataka where PDGs were also felicitated at the District level.
