As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Sugar Board distribution programme

Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Shaila Karagudari, Secretary MJF Lion Suresh Gudaganavar, Joint Secretary Lion Dr.Rajashri Gudaganavar and Lion Meera Rao attended the Diabetes Awareness and presenting the Sugar Boards to schools programme by Lions Club of Hubli city on 12th December 2025 at Lions English Medium School, Hubli.

Vision

The Lions Club of Dharwad had organize Free Eye Checkup camp on 3rd December 2025 at Narendra Village near Dharwad. Total 387 villagers and school students underwent eye checkup. Out of which 19 were selected for eye operation. Out of which 12 persons operated. Dr.Arati Babare and the hospital staff conducted eye checkup. This camp was organized in association with Dr.M.M.Joshi Eye Research Centre Dharwad and the Narendra Gram Panchayat.

KARAOKE NIGHT 19 DECEMBER 2025

The Lions Club of Curchorem–Sanvordem successfully organised a melodious Karaoke Night based on the evergreen songs of legendary music director R. D. Burman. The programme was held at Lions Club Children’s Park, Curchorem and received an enthusiastic response from music lovers. A total of 21 finalists showcased their singing talent, creating a vibrant and nostalgic musical atmosphere. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Chairperson of Curchorem–Cacora Municipal Council, Shri Pramod Naik. The performances were judged by Mr. Ashish Gaunker and Ms. Kalpa Sainekar, both from the field of music, who evaluated the contestants and encouraged them with their valuable feedback. At the conclusion of the competition, the first three winners were awarded cash prizes and trophies, along with three consolation prizes, also consisting of cash prizes and trophies. The programme was efficiently compared by Lion Avin Naik, whose engaging anchoring added charm to the event. The success of the event was largely due to the dedicated efforts of Club BOD Member Lion Vipul Sirsat, who played an important role in planning and organising the entire programme. The event promoted cultural activities and strengthened fellowship among club members and the community. Our Club President Lion Sameer Naik, club secretary Lion Nilkanth Pai, club treasurer lion Ashwin D'souza, District cabinet Lion Avin Naik, DC lion CA Vaibhav Bale, 1st VP Lion Rocha periera, BOD member lion vipul Shirsat, Lion Sandeep Narvekar and lion Kiran Desai attended the program.

Liberation RUN on the ocassion of Goa Liberation Day 19 december 2025

On the occasion of Goa Liberation Day, celebrated on 19 December, the Lions Club of Curchorem Sanvordem organised a Liberation Run (1 km – Walk/Jog) for the students of Government High School, Xeldem, Quepem, Goa. A total of 100 students enthusiastically participated in the run. The event aimed to promote fitness, discipline, and awareness of the significance of Goa Liberation Day among students. All participating students successfully completed the run and were felicitated with medals by the Lions Club as a mark of encouragement and appreciation. Refreshments were also provided to all students by the club. The programme was well received and reflected the Lions Club’s commitment towards youth engagement, health, and social responsibility.

Goa Liberation Day celebrated at Govt HS Xeldem Quepem Goa

Lions club of Curchorem sanvordem celebrated Goa Liberation Day at Govt High school Xeldem Quepem Goa. The students gave speeches on the occasion. Patriotic singing competition were held and prizes and refreshment were distributed. School Headmistress, Teacher's, village Xeldem sarpanch and PTA member's graced the occasion. Our Club President Lion Sameer Naik, club secretary Lion Nilkanth Pai, club treasurer lion Ashwin D'souza, District cabinet Lion Avin Naik, BOD member lion vipul Shirsat and lion Renzilla Fernandes attended the program.

Distribution of sweter to news paper boys and security Guard to protect from winter season

Lion club of manvi cundected programme, on humanity service. We distributed sweters more then 30 people who working distribution of daily news paper Early morning every day at MANVI taluka and who working as public security Guard at night it helps to protected from winter season. In this program more then 15 members attended and successful the programme.

Breast Cancer Screening and detection camp at Davorlim Goa

Breast Cancer Screening and detection camp was held jointly by GMT- Family and Women Specialist MJF Lion Swati Surlakar and District Chairperson for Breast Cancer Awareness MJF Lion Gloria Fernandes in collaboration with YOUWECAN foundation on 14th December 2025 at Povitr Khuris, Davorlim from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm. Total 66 ladies took the benefit of the same. The Chief Guest was Rev fr. Domingos Noronha.

Inauguration ceremony of the Pulse Polio Vaccination Program.

As per the orders of the Honorable Deputy Commissioner of Bagalkot, the inauguration ceremony of the Pulse Polio Vaccination Program will be held at Jamkhandi Government Hospital on Sunday, 21/12/2025. Lion Members Helped in Awarrness program and provided polio drops to 7 childerns.
