As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

VISION
Today's eye checkup at our Lion's Medical Center at Old Hubli Hubli Dr Sourabh and Vadiraj Katti from MMJE Hospital Hubli examined arround 22 Beneficiaries out of which 13 Beneficiaries referred for wCataract Operations. RBS and BP checkup was done to 11 beneficiaries by Vivek Ambekar and Hiremath. 👍👍WE SERVE 🙏🙏

Camp - Mobile speech and hearing outrich
Lions club of Vasco da Gama successfully conducted a camp on Mobile speech and Hearing outreach which is run by Dr. S.R Chandrashekhar institute of speech and hearing at St. Andrew church premises Vasco. Total 95 people benefitted out of which 90 were students of age group between 5-7 years and 5 were adults. Out of 95 cases, 14 were referred for further checks out of which 5 were for Audio and 9 for speech. Project chairperson was Lion Safeena Fernandes who was present with President Lion Shilpa. Senior Lions PDG Lion Ularico , Region chairperson MJF Lion Premanand Kerkar and club senior members lion Jashwinder and Lion Dushyant were also present .

Honouring of Resource person for conducting sessions during Mental health week
Lions club of Vasco da Gama proudly honoured our 2 resource person on closing ceremony of mental health week who actively, wholeheartedly volunteered in organising and handling the mental health week for Lions club of Vasco. Resource persons were 1. Winnie Abner- Emotional intelligence coach - who took over talk on mental health for ladies and conducting of program for Oldage people in bogmallo. 2. Lion Sunil Kavlekar ( RDC-IT district 317 B) - conducted Yoga wellness session specially for women category.

Visit to Oldage home
Lions club of Vasco would forever be greatful to district for coming up with this program of celebrating Mental Health week. Our main idea behind this I believe was to spread some peace and awareness on healthy mental health to the society, but I must say we as Lions participating in various activities that we conducted has actually improved us , got happiness on our faces of Lions. I thank our DG sir Jaiamol and DC Adrian tores for giving us this opportunity . Lions club of Vasco da Gama ended up the mental health week with a very happy ,memorable event by paying visit to Oldage home in bogmallo. We started with a funny dancing song , followed by quiz which memorised all olden days of participants followed by a comedy skit. Total 80 people participated out of which 25 were present in hall and rest were bed ridden. Snacks was provided to all. Event was handled by Emotional intelligence coach Winnie Abner.
