As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Club conducted CLLI
Club conducted Club Lions Leadership Institute for the members of our club on 31st January 2026 at La Tara Open Air Venue. Faculty were GLT member MJF Ln Darryl Fernandes, GMTc MJF Ln Sushant Pokle, DC MJF Ln Vinod Gadgil. Program was well appreciated by all members present.

Handing over of Semi Automatic Washing Machine
On 30th January 2026 Lions Club of Sankhali proudly hand over a semi-automatic washing machine to the Pediatric Ward of the District Hospital North Goa, Mapusa. The donation was warmly received by Medical Superintendent Dr. Munj and the dedicated nursing staff, who expressed how much this will help in the daily care and hygiene of the children’s ward. We are proud to support our local healthcare heroes.

Celebrated Republic Day
Our club on 26 th January, celebrated Republic Day in our adopted Government Primary School, Harvalem with great pride and enthusiasm. National flag was unfurled by President Ln Jyotsna Pokle . Students sang Patriotic songs and showed patriotic dance performances and speeches. Lovely celebration of a National day witnessed even parents and well-wisher in surrounding areas. 7 members of our club attended the celebration. Sweet boxes were distributed to all the students as well as parents.

Conducted General Body Meeting
"General Body Meeting of our club was held at La Tara open Air Venue, Sankhali on 18 th January 2026 from 7.30pm onwards. Total of 12 members attended the meeting. Fruitful discussions were held with regards to hosting of 2025-26 District convention. Also activities for the month of January and February were discussed and finalised. The meeting was followed with fellowship and dinner.

Arranged Picnic for Adopted School
On 13 th January, on the occasion of Founder's Day, our club celebrated birth anniversary of Ln Melwin Jones by arranging a picnic for our adopted Govt primary school students and providing transport for the same. Sweets were also distributed to all the students and Teachers. 4 Lion members were present for the celebration.
